Never seen such an attempt by fans to defend a game that multiple people with hands-on time have expressed dissatisfaction. Jus sayin.
Yeah, I'm probably gonna pick it up, but this definitely falls into my "B category" of anticipated releases. Looks ok, doesn't look great though
Judging by the fact Xenoblade was one of the best looking games on the Wii, I'm expecting this sequel to impress. And no doubt it will.
It's Monster Hunter 4. Who has the patience to wait?!!
You can start on one system, then transfer whenever the new 3DS arrives. That's what I'm doing.
I will go I to full out spasms if this game releases and I'm not playing it within 24 hours.
Why? You already have 3rd party games on your console now. What difference would having those same games on another console make? Branch out to Nintendo because they have some of the funnest and most beloved games in the industry, games that aren't on your console. 3rd party... 1st party... Who cares. Bottom line is there are great games you're missing out on.
I expanded and branched out and now own all 3 consoles. Usually good for about 8 top tier exclusives on Wii U...
Exactly. Not everyone who plays games is a kid in school. Lot of us are grown, have a job, etc. Video games are our way of escaping the world, not interacting with it.
And if it's online only, we won't buy it. Can definitely count on that. I believe that was the entire point of the article- to state our desire for an offline mode because we will not buy this game otherwise
But that's the fun of it. Playing, progressing, and earning better stuff as you go. That's how games should be. Not, "online only with micro transactions out the gate".
If you're "suffering" through a campaign, maybe videogames just aren't your thing.
Actually though, a lot of people feel like both Sony AND MS over charge. But with the incredible $170 off + 2 games price drop of the X1 over Christmas, that left a rather good taste in my mouth. What leaves a bad taste, however, is the fact that Sony took advantage of MS's initial blunder on the sly and is now charging me to play online. What leaves a bad taste is the fact I paid $100 for a 32gb mem card for the Vita, and now have to spend another hundred dollars since it's full. Wha...
Maybe because they want to convey to others WHY they don't care? And pose the notion that perhaps others shouldn't care either? Jus sayin, what kind of question is that, "why the article"? Why do you think? To share a point of view and explain why they feel that way, and perhaps even make the argument that others should feel the same.
I don't understand the "he cares cause he wrote an article". No, that's not true. I don't give two flut...
Xenoblade Chronicles X and the two Final Fantasy games for me,
Already own Shovel Knight on 2 systems.
There's not a single exclusive worth a crap on the way, and the only multiplat even worth mentioning is RE Revelations 2. If you're one of those people completely content playing the bottom of the barrel and scraps thrown to Vita owners, I'm happy for you. Enjoy. But as for myself, there's literally NOTHING worthwhile coming to the system. I'll buy RE Revelations 2 simply because I enjoyed the first so much on a hand...
Your statement is a perfect example of what's wrong with gaming today. All you care about is how well the console of your choice is selling and performing in the market, rather than caring about how great the games are on the system and how much fun and enjoyment you're going to get from them.
This is what console loyalty and brand allegiance has gotten us. My console sold more than yours so it's the best! Right. If tic-tac-toe and hopscotch sold 140 million copie...
Negative skippy.
DKC Tropical Freeze is one of the finest video games ever made. Whether you're talking about the incredible level design (and doing so with every enemy and ledge placed with pinpoint precision for shortcuts in time trials), gorgeous environments, killer David Wise soundtrack (which is by far the pinnacle of his career), the super tight mechanics and perfectly rounded difficulty, DKC Tropical Freeze is the very definition of perfection.

The only ones who don't think Nintendo had the best games in 2014, are people who haven't played them. Anyone and everyone who actually has a Wii U and a PS4/X1 (or all three) knows where the best games were this past year.
It's nothing to get bent out of shape over. Wii U had a great year. Should go buy one and see for yourself.
*And for the record, I don't think anyone is saying PS4 and X1 are bad consoles or didn't have great games too...
Glad there's still at least one console with non-realistic, non-western, non AAA games on it. Games that provide entertainment through skill, challenge, and pinpoint precision mechanics, rather than story, graphics, and wispy-washy gameplay.
Not saying I don't enjoy my PS4 and X1 too, cause I do, but I grow tired of how all games are cut from the same AAA cloth nowadays.
Zelda Majora's Mask
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D
Mighty Number 9
Code Name STEAM
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is THE system seller. If ever there was a reason to buy a new platform, Monster Hunter would be it,
I have a PS4. Right behind my Xbox One and Wii U. Which are right beside my 3DS and Vita.
Guess you'll have to take it back and exchange it for the right system then. Don't be so careless next time. It says right on the box "3DS"
Majoras Mask Scalper Edition, pre order on eBay today starting at just $149.99!!!
