They cancelled mine too. Fortunately they gave me a $50 promo code for the hassle (not sure if everyone was offered this, but I'm Elite Plus so I figure they wanna keep me a happy customer), and I didn't really need the system anyways since I pre ordered the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate new3DS at Gamestop, and that's the one I REALLY wanted and planned on using.
For $50 I'll gladly give up spending $200 on a system I don't need.
No, it's got awesome controls. Best there ever was for a futuristic racer. The issue wasn't difficulty controlling the cars, it was just a really really really difficult game to win in the harder modes.

Better than most think though. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate sold about 1 million copies in the west across Wii U and 3DS. Not much compared to Japan but still, that's not too bad for such an intimidating franchise with such a high learning curve. I think MH4U will do even better though. Hopefully.
It's like any other deep and challenging game- 10 minutes on a demo doesn't cut it. Nobody "gets it" after just one quick demo hunt or else the entire world would be converts by now. You have to really dig into the game to understand what it's true appeal is.

I LOVE Fire Emblem. Just bought the original limited edition Fire Emblem 3DS, and repurchased all $55 worth of the DLC just so I could have the complete package on my new "Fire Emblem system". Popped Shadow Dragon DS in the cartridge slot and bam, got me a nice little package. Replaying on Hard mode now,
Splatoon does seem to fit into the "Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare" genre, however, what elevates Splatoon is the fact you're not required to be online to play (and paying subscription fees to even access online at that). It's even got a single player campaign- now THAT is how you make a shooter- single and multiplayer, no forced online, no paywall.
99% of the big guns have yet to commit. It's anybody's game at this point.
Forget the normal new3DS. There's a reason we all upgraded to the XL in the first place. When it comes to screen size, the bigger the better. And the XL is WAY more comfortable to hold. The small ones are the size of a calculator and cramp your hands.

This guy is something else. ALL games are held to that standard for Metacritic scores, not just his games. ANY game that receives a Metascore has to deal with non-traditional reviews being given a translated number. They should know this and take this into consideration when setting the threshold for bonus payout.
