Many games feature Arabs (or Russians) as the bad guys. Not because the game publishers want to spread propaganda, but let's face it, fighting the Amish would not exactly be realistic :)

You have to figure that OLED's will take less time as some of the R&D from previous technologies will be applicable.

The effects and art direction are fantastic.
BUT... is it just me or are the textures looking very blurry and washed out? Hopefully, its just due to the low resolution video.
...Lair had to deal with MASSIVE draw distances where Bioshock had the advantage of dungeon crawling.
But I will say Bioshock's water is the best I have ever seen.
Although... I will never understand why the publishers push all their games at Christmas. I am MUCH more willing to pick up a game in the spring or summer out of sheer boredom.
But yeah, Merc 1 was fantastic! Specially for those who find GTA a little slow.

Hateboy, so many criticize Hollywood for making anti-US Army pictures, specially concerning vietnam. There must have been dozens of films showcasing the U.S. army in the worst way possible from that war alone.

In all fairness, the bad guys in our video games look an awfully lot like Hezbollah, so its not surprising they would do the same. Makes for a good case against using current conflicts in children's games... kind of puts that whole "why is every damn game WWII" in perspective.

From the video previews, Merc 2 suffers from the exact same giant flaw; pop-ins. Let's hope they fix it because having a water tower just appear out of nowhere is somewhat distracting.
Other than that, Merc 1 was the best sleeper hit... so under-appreciated!!

Does the PS3 have enough spare CPU cycles to play games WHILE it is recording 1 (or hopefully 2) program(s) at the same time?
If not, its not worth it. I don't want to have to time my game playing based around the shows I want to record.

Yes, I understand their are two memory pools. XDR memory for the CELL and video memory for the RSX.
Let me rephrase, would it have killed Sony to include more video memory for the RSX to allow for more textures?
