This gen has a lot of life left in it.
I'm also quickly losing a lot of interest in this game... the fact that it was scrapped and picked up then renamed says somehting about where the game was going.
This game looks like Ninja Gaiden/Vanquish had a baby and looks less and less like part of the Metal Gear saga.
We'll see . . .
They may think they saved it, but if they make it a total abortion (which it looks like to this point) then it could be the most self damning move ever...
So its ok for games to constantly depict US/Allied troops killings everyone else...but the second they turn the tables it is immature?

God forbid the US/Allied forces are depicted as the guys. But its ok to constantly kill Middle Eastern, Russian, German, and Asian forces in every military game made to date. Nice double standard you guys argue from.
They took the Solid out of the title because when Kojima came to check on the progress of the game he saw what utter crap it was turning into and said ... "this can be a Metal Gear game but it is not Metal Gear Solid! You've turned Raiden into a cyborg, hara-juku girl ninja, with Dragon Ball Z hair"
Then Kojima ran to the bathroom and threw up.
This game in no way feels like Metal Gear to me. I've been playing Metal Gear since NES.
This game looks and feels more like last years Vanquish with a sword.
I getting less and less excited about Rising.

360's best game probably was a multiplat (Batman, Skyrim, and Portal 2 could only have been challenged by Gears 3). Portal 2's MP was f'ing incredible and is deserving of the award. BF3 and COD didn't really do anything new as far as what they had previously done MP wise (except for COD's new game modes which were surprisingly very good).

PC gamers can't accept that consoles drive the market.
PC will always be there but consoles are what games will be judged by. Thats why in all these awards that different media outlets give out there is always a "best PC game" category. PC gamers are the minority now, have been for a while.
And Uncharted 3 did have some really amazing graphics, I was shocked at times how much they improved on UC3. I didn't expect much more from PS3...
Other than the graphical leap (really only on PC) I don't see the revolutionizing BF3 did that all the Fanboys are talking about. Especially on consoles.
BF3 has 1/2 the FPS than COD which makes COD seem super slick compared to BF3. Destruction was already implemented in previous iterations of the BF franchise. Resistance 2 and MAG has more people in matches than BF3. COD has more games modes and more new innovative games modes than any FPS game out there.

I felt like they put a lot of repetitive functions and side quests in ME2 that took away from the story and its characters.
They have a lot to live up to...lets hope they come through!

Just like every other game for the last 2 years. Hell, we were hearing about Catwoman and Robin DLC before Batman AC was even released! But thats okay because its Batman and people still think its a cool up and coming franchise. Once it becomes popular people will bag it like COD because its not cool to play it anymore.
You can make the same arguments about both franchises. COD is milked and "Battlefield" is milked.
I just like to have fun with all of everybody's blind hate and stereotypical excuses of why COD is just the same but BF3 is some kind of revolutionary game. Outside of its graphics ON PC, BF3 is a very run of the mill shooter.
What does it do better on consoles? FPS, nope COD has more which makes it play silky smooth. Players in a match, nop...
