I hope they continue the tradition of releasing quality new IPs. So far it feels like everything announced so far are sequels. Naughty Dog should definitely do a new one.
We’re one week into a gaming generation, nothing is “cemented in stone”.
I don’t think too many people will complain if it’s delayed a year. The core gameplay actually looks really fun, they just need to polish the hell out of it.
Enjoy it while it lasts is all I can say 👍
Surprise surprise, someone’s opinion is factually incorrect. Another day on N4G.
I said hopefully... would you prefer the games to be buggy? And if so, why bother asking in the first place?
Hopefully that will change with Microsoft’s involvement.
You can still be excited by the prospect. By that logic, nobody can be excited by the next God of War because we don’t know what it looks like 🤔
Shame they didn’t buy mistwalker back in the 360 days and kept them on the path they were on with big open world JRPGs.
If they do but anyone, it’s unlikely to be a giant like capcom or sega.
FF7, 8 and 9 all on gamepass now... that really taps into my childhood 😃
You’re not buying a new console just for the games it offers at launch though, it’s what it’ll offer you over the next 5-7 years. You can’t be short sighted when buying a next gen console.
It’s all subjective - should games with endless replay value like open world RPGs or multiplayer FPSs cost the same as 5-6 hour story-driven single player games?
I bought Resident Evil 3 for £50 earlier this year and felt ripped off. In an ideal world, game prices should be scaled by value, because it’s becoming a minefield as to whether or not to take an expensive chance on a game. This is where services like Gamepass really soften the blow.
It’s coming out on Xbox as well though... at least get your facts right if you’re going to accuse someone of fanboyism.
The Series X came out yesterday - what do you think the majority of Xbox fans are doing?
Well they don’t, because it’s exactly what they’re not doing.
Supporting cross gen was the right decision by Sony, but it sure makes the people who preached about Microsoft holding back the next gen look foolish.
Hate when games require more space to install than it’s actual file size. The amount of time I’ve played hard drive Tetris to make room for game files and they don’t fit.
This issue shouldn’t be being brought into next gen. I don’t know the ins and outs but there must be a solution surely?!
Totally agree with all those. I’m a massive Fable fan but feels like that game is a way off.
I'm also going Xbox. A big influence for me is Gamepass, but also cool features like Xcloud. I also feel that Xbox seems to offer more couch coop games which I'm a big fan of.
Nevertheless, I hope anyone whose getting an Xbox or PS5 this week enjoys their purchase to it's fullest extent. We're all gamers at the end of the day so this week should be about celebrating our passion and not being divisive because of brand loyalty.
Fair comment mate. While I wouldn't necessarily agree that the gulf between Xbox and PlayStation is so big, it's refreshing to see bias left at the door and true gaming passion in your thoughts.
Enjoy both consoles this week!
It's really not - the inconvenience of having to delete games to make room for others and then having to redownload them when you want to play them again is a pain, no matter which way you look at it. In the PS1 days you could put any disc in and it would just work, so the fact that there's a barrier to that is a backwards step.
This isn't just an issue with PS5 btw, the XSX having 200GB more space only delays the problem.
