Yuck! What the hell is going on in that last picture? I the deer frozen in place half rotten or what? Poor thing.
Xbox 360 is loved in North America because it's a native product, same thing with PS3 and Wii in Japan. It's not a mystery, it's human psychology.
You and I are in the same boat. I have considered buying a 360 for a long time, I just purchased the PS3 early instead. Lucky me, since the rumors of faulty hardware began surfacing in the time after.
I think a lot of potential consumer business has been wasted or put on hold for Microsoft at this point, and can you really blame people? Microsoft constantly states that the next versions of the Xbox 360 will have 65nm chips and HDMI, plus the 'Falcon' consoles and whatnot. So wh...
The Armored Core 4 demo has been available for ages on the US Store, oh and it did suck tremendously if you ask me. Adding it for the EU Store half a year later seems a bit half-assed to me; it's as if they completely forgot that they actually had to make weekly updates for that sad excuse for a download service, so they just opened the dusty chest in the attic and found an old Armored Core 4 LP.
Luckily, most of us have already learned that we can have access to the content on...
The public beta is already tested and apparently it's a private party, and I'm not invited :'(
Go to www.homebetatrial.com and they'll tell you the same sh!t they told the rest of us: "Keep checking back to register an interest in participating".
Anyway, I think it makes sense to include it with 2.00, since October isn't that far way and by the looks of it, things are going remarkably well with the testing, according to Mr. Harrison at E3 2007. Plus, 2....
Some of the guys involved in EndWar were previously resposible for the Total War games, how amazing is that?
Finally we'll have the perfect mix between Total War and C&C Generals, with more realism added. Actually, this title should be way more hyped than it has been.
I almost forgot that war as well. The problem arises if Blu-Ray won't be the standard. That happened to the 1.2 GB GD-ROM which the Sega Dreamcast featured, and that ended the poor girl. ** Loved be Her memory **
However, since Blu-Ray seems to pretty much win the war, I agree that extra capacity benefits the PS3 regardless. DVD9 may be fine for now, but if there was no use for further storage, then why is Microsoft developing new compression techniques? It clearly is a sign th...
I hate Dr. Phil's evaluations, especially since the moron got his own show after having his nose up Oprah's ass for years. The man tends to steal the focus in every given situation, in lieu of his own alleged magnificence. I mean, the man is nothing but a PhD Marriage Counsilor, but somehow he tends to know EVERYTHING about drug-abusers, sex-offenders, mass-murdering sociopaths and now videogames. This is the generations fighting all over again. In the 40's it was swing and jazz, in the 60's ...
What Gears got right was that it focused on quality not quantity. I'm so sick and tired of all the next-gen games that focuses on how large this or that enviroment can look. PS3 titles suffer mostly from this, take R:FoM; though I liked it, I hated how you just mowed down hundreds and hundreds of Chimera, there was hardly any challange when you got the hang of their AI routines. Shoot, strafe, shoot. Yawn.
Secondly, they all need to have "1.000.000 enemies on screen at the...
Oh man... do I have to write /sarcasm everytime I'm doing an exaggaration? I was pointing out that you could get a lot more for your money in the US, and I know that you can't get a Dodge.
(NOT /sarcasm)
Is it just me, or are the screenies from the review graphically ages ahead from the PSN demo? The ingame shadows and the lightning in general have recieved a massive boost, same thing with the textures. Perhaps the demo was from an early build?
In Denmark a crappy vehicle like the Ford Ka costs approx. 190.000 DKR brand new, the exchange rate for the $ is 6:1. That's roughly 31.600 $ for a joke of a car. I could buy a Dodge Viper for that in the US. Same thing with everything else, however, there is a huge difference. Even though everything is cheaper in the US, the average income in Denmark is many times higher than in America. We have some of the highest GDP per Capita in the world, hence, we get higher taxes so the economy doesn'...
Really? I thought they applied BD-Java later... hmm... thanks for the info.
Well the Playstation 3 is designed to generate far less heat, but I'm surprised that they had that fat-ass going in a sauna! Btw, I believe that there was a guy who had his PS3 folding for the 5th month in a row, though that's a rumor and could easily be BS.
Boxing match from Rocky IV: "And a left hook sends HD-DVD 15 feet across the ring!"
Nope, HD-DVD simply is the losing format in this discussion. Though the features are excellent, it doesn't really help when Sony & Friends have the Blu Ray PR Train going at 1029 mph and counting. The average Joe will just see the bigger Blu Ray signs and go with it, disregarding the fact that HD DVD may be slightly cheaper, and even use VC-1 (not a tech-freak, correct me if I'm wr...
Babes presenting games? Not bald, fat, old men?!
This is industry is getting better and better!
One thing is that Microsoft doesn't admit that there indeed is a problem, another thing is that they don't fix a problem that caused them to write a 1.15 billion $ check in the first place. I mean, placing a new heatsink would be far less costy than refurbishing these damn things into eternity. So why is it that they act this way, stupidity or pride?
@Shadow Flare
Wise choice, if you had been playing it longer you could have suffered from personal injury. I bled like hell and had splinters burried deep into my hand. Didn't know whether to be proud or shameful, since it was a hard oak table I smashed through. My brain must've administered at least 100 mg of adrenaline at the time.
First off: my sincerest thoughts go out to the family. This is a tragedy beyond anything, however, certain games can bring to a point of frustration where you go berserk for 4-5 seconds.
I know that I would never in my life get to the point of murder, but Motorstorm caused me to smash my hand into a wooden table and break it.
Y'know, the last ticket you have to complete in Mudpool with a Mud Plugger, where you always lose JUST before the finish-line?
Yeah,...
This is an interesting discussion, especially considering it is a GAMING discussion. What bothers me is how streamlined they (Hizbollah and their supporters) appear to be, yet when we consider the fact that this is the condition of the world according to them, it adds an interesting perspective.
We see videogames as mild entertainment, yet we are stuffed with political and religious messages constantly. Take Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Brothers in Arms for example; you mow...
