Ya I prefer the freedom to replace my own batteries, tyvm. Apple and Sony sure got people drinking the Kool-Aid if you think soldered in batteries are superior in any way.
Kudos to the new Vita for offering that option. Gotta give credit where it's due. However, the new Vita's changed from an oled screen to a cheaper lcd screen. Not real happy with that move.

are the best. I can play at work, on the go, and best of all, in my recliner or bed, tvym. They do take a back seat to desktops in the latest AAA game in graphics, but the compromise is worth it to me.
Well, actually I own both laptop and gaming desktop. When I want to see the pretty pixels I sit at my pc desk, but when my back gets sore or I want to be more comfortable, I head to the recliner with my gaming laptop.
Theres free rams to play every Nintendo, xbox, and playstation game out there. You really never heard that you can hack stuff on a pc? Granted it wont be a day 1 release (may vary from months to years) and you prolly wont get to play multiplayer. But the point is, you can still do with a basic google search and some persistence.

Id say optimization is only part of the story. Devs are either lazy or want to maximize their profits (depending on your viewpoint). So devs will generally base a game around the lowest common hardware (with a few exceptions).
Consoles being the lowest common configuration, is also a factor for why games aren't always fully optimized on the pc.

Doubtful a faster HD like a ssd in a ps4 will have any difference because the OS isn't optimized for it. Just how like it is with the ps3 currently. You can go bigger, just not faster and I haven't seen an announcement by sony stating otherwise.

The whole point is that its pre-assembled. However, on a real pc build, why would you wait for someone to put it together for you? You literally plug in 8 parts and it goes. A monkey could even do that.

You can very easily get all the free roms on android and the pc. Most of these games are very fast twitch response, so you need to have a controller like Moga to play them effectively.

Neither console solemnly swore any kind of promise at all. They just gave opinions/predictions on their products like consumers want to know about. Like pretty much every other business product out there.
Or when ps2 defended no hard drive (used memory cards) or no ethernet port to connect to the internet. Same concept.
It's not even available on the ps3. Aren't you sony camp people the ones always bragging about exclusives? It seems to be a ninty exclusive with no plans to port it.

You cant beat gaming laptops for the ability to lie in bed or on a recliner for that extra level of comfort.
I think the idea here is that they are replaceable, rechargeable batts not disposable batteries that you can change out every year or 2 once the natural progression of the battery life has gotten shorter.
