@Teflon
I only half agree with you and I think the android sales backup what Im saying. I agree if Im at home sitting in the recliner, android gaming in no way compares with console/pc gaming.
However, Im not at home 100% of the time. So while on the go (work, getting dragged along by wife to go shopping, w/e), portable gaming is a no brainer for a quick fix.
Close, but not the same thing. You cannot stream full pc games in 720p from your Steam library and obviously holding your tablet and a controller at the same time is going to be very clumsy to do in a recliner chair.
Whether it's worth $300 for all that, idk up to each person.
I could several good reasons to get this vs just sticking with your phone and then of course, several for why not to get it.
Pros: if you don't have a laptop, this is a great way to stream high def games from Steam library to this device. Plus if you don't have a wifi signal on the go, you can still play any android game. The speakers, controller, and Tenga 4 chip and all upgrades to what any cell phone can do. You can play it in your bed or on a recliner vs hunched o...
They will be releasing the Kinect 2.0 sensor for the pc. So theres that.
I don't wanna be a lab rat. Let me know when the game is finished and playable. Looks like fun.
" giving developers low-level access to PC graphics hardware for the very first time."
Not impressed with that statement. Also neither next gen console will be using Mantle and over half the pc systems are using NVidia. Doubtful if we see more than a small handful of games to ever use Mantle.
4mps is a horrible speed. Ya prolly don't want a service like Onlive with that speed. My cell phone when Im around a 4G tower is faster than that.
@Roccetarius
By spring time, youll want to get the 800 series, not this. Supposedly it will be a significant upgrade.
Looks like we may have a winner!
You definitely "could" put in a faster chip and if software dev's designed the game for this, it would make the game run smoother/better graphics. So I disagree with what you said or how you worded this.
However, just because consoles could easily do this, I don't think that they ever would want to. The consumer base would not be happy with such a move.
Highly doubt they wud be faster. More efficient and smaller, yes. Just like last gen of consoles where the cpu shrunk 3 times/more efficient. But never got a speed increase.
Well see there ya go. U already had the answer. I agree on the refreshes. Im waiting for next year for the nvidia 800 series and too see what amd will come out with.
Ya $4k for a high quality brand like ASUS, but Ive seen cheap Korean made 4k monitors that are starting to flood the market for around $2k. Personally I don't think I could trust those.

That's why both amd and NVidia have different tiers of gpu's. If you don't care about speed, then you shouldn't be looking at the the fastest and latests cards, obviously they gunna be absurb in price.
Sounds like your a budget gamer and need to look and mid to low end cards because you said you only care for price not the fastest one. Problem solved : )
Personally I buy gpu's for their quality, price, and performance. Only a kids with fragile egos would really take such comments personally or for that matter even care.
I would argue that someone paying $800-2000 for a gaming pc is rarely ever going to be switching over to gaming on a tablet, no more than a console gamer would. It's more of the casuals and non-gamers new to the scene going to tablets.
As far as pc numbers being low, its obviously a very subjective and interpretive stat. If you look at Steam pc game sales, they are at record numbers. If you focus on windows 8 sales being low, then you may make the mistake of saying pc nu...
I agree with you except for referencing 4-8 of your friends/family as a valid sample group. It's like saying a drop of water affects a lake in any way.
I'd reference other things like pre-sales and the anticipation for this next gen.
Um the PC already plays at varying graphic levels depending on your hardware. But yes ps4 and xbox one will both hold back pc. Just the way it goes.
I like how you tried to stealth mode troll xbox one when both systems are weaker than current gaming pcs. The gap will only widen in a few years.
I'm prolly in the minority here, but how do you gamers still use the kinds of mice where you have to slide, shuffle, and turn yourself about to move anywhere? It's just seems so slow and inefficient compared with a thumb ball like this Logitech m570.

Do you really want a computer built into that 60" led tv? Idk if Id ever want that. If the chip burns out, these manufacturer's will almost certainly make it impossible to easily swap out a chip without replacing the whole unit or require an expensive tech to service it (looking at you Apple).
