It won't become available until Oct 1st. It will most likely need some kind of patch to run but I expect most of it initially comes on disc and is installed at the same time as GTA V.
That would be pretty awesome. Could be cool if some people could choose to play as cops for a bit and just be patrolling around. Maybe be able to stop not only other players from committing crimes but also NPCs that might be doing something illegal.
During the conference Andrew House did say it would release globally. They are just releasing it first in Japan. Also because the PS4 is releasing first here I expect they need the time difference to work on the PS4 and DS4 patch to allow for the remote play. That will probably be the biggest selling feature for it in the US. I for one do plan on buying a Vita soon but once this releases here in the States I will be picking this up as well.
The issue is that Ryse has been in development for years now and is only a few months from release. It was going to be a 360 exclusive at first and that is also an issue. Instead of having been focused squarely for the next gen on XBOX One it has been switched up quite a bit since it was announced and that hasn't really helped the game at all. Yes it looks good graphically but the gameplay shows that it really isn't going to fully utilize the XBOX One.
Now we see a little more of why they have been talking about gaming as a connected social experience. They aren't just pushing the PS4 with this. Instead with all the announcements for Vita, Vita TV, and the PS4 they are pushing the Playstation brand. They are really on top of their game now and I cannot wait to see all the fun and new things the future holds.
This is a great example of Sony continuing to push gaming to a more digital future without forcing it on people. Just another great option for people that want to be able to access their games from anywhere at anytime.
He did indeed mention a global release for it. However it is hitting Japan first and I expect with it coming out in Japan in November we will see it in Europe and NA in Feb.
Once this thing hits the US I will definitely be picking it up. I already plan on buying a Vita itself. Still need it for the games Vita TV won't support as well as just gaming on the go. Even remote play of PS4 games on the go. I can see myself using this in the bedroom to play my PS4 games a lot especially if my kids or wife are watching tv in the living room or busy on the PS3 since we will still have that as well. My current ride is a "stick". I absolutely love driving that way. Much better than automatic because you always feel like your actually part of the car. Speaking of which it would be nice if they gave a Manual transmission option for some cars in GTA V. I know all it would be is timing shifts with a button but would immerse people just a little more.
Yeah. Still fun to be in it and see just how far you can launch it off ramps. I hope we can take one to the top of the mountain again and drive it off.
Both were only published by Rockstar. State Of Emergency was made by VIS Entertainment and Oni was made by Bungie. It was ported to PS2 by Rockstar Toronto though. And yes it is the Bungie many now know as the creator's of Halo and the soon to be released Destiny.
I can't wait to read the online hands on. But I want to play it more. I hope I can get through the Single player before Online launches but with the massive amount of things to do and the things that might make me distracted says that I will probably be trying to do the SP and MP together.
I still enjoy GTA IV but once this comes out it will take away a lot of my free time. I cannot wait to get it. Unfortunately while I will be getting it on release day I won't actually be able to play it until the 18th. I have to work nights and that means sleeping during the day. At least when I have time off it is for several days in a row.
It is still insane with how they are starting it. I can't imagine where it will go but I will certainly go along for the ride.
That car looks great both in game and in real life. I have a few entries in the contest but the chances of my actually winning are slim to none. Still whoever does win it I hope they can drive a manual.

Ryse unfortunately is a casualty of their lack of foresight. If they had been smart about it they would have been developing it for XBOX One from day one. Instead when it was first announced they were heavy into pushing Kinect so it was announced as a Kinect game. I think Microsoft has done a huge disservice to Crytek and the gamers on this game. It really should have been developed from the ground up for the XBOX One. I wish I could take off on the 17th to play it. Unfortunately I have to work that night but I do have off from 7am on the 18th until the following Sunday. I will spend just enough time on the 17th after I pick up my copy to at least install it so it will be ready to go for me on the 18th.
