After reading the Digital Foundry article their is no way I believe this. They said that the PS3 has better textures and no pop ins just like the 360 version if you don't install both discs. If you do install both then the 360 is the system that suffers from pop in. I even watched a live stream last night where the guy was playing it on PS3 and I never noticed any of that so called pop in.
Bottom Line if it was the most technically advanced game to come out this year then it should be 1080p at 60fps. But is isn't going to be reaching that.
I can't really blame this one on Crytek. First off the game started as a 360 Kinect title. Then someone, probably from Microsoft, decided to change it to a controller/Kinect hybrid for the 360. Then this year we find out that is was now a XBOX One exclusive and still going to be a Kinect/controller hybrid. Crytek didn't have the luxury of developing it from day one as a XBOX One title and instead have had to make a lot of changes during development. That is never good for a game and I...
It is going to be so hard not to watch gameplay videos. I am at work tonight and have to work again tomorrow night so I can't play the game until Wednesday morning. Still picking up the game tomorrow but as soon as I get it home and get it installed I will have to go to bed. Hope everyone who can start playing it tonight has a blast with it. From the reviews it certainly seems like it will be fun.
I expect it has to do with the money Rockstar received from Sony for an exclusive on the PS3 that never came out. First it was LA Noire then Agent. When neither came out and Sony was in the middle of developing the PS4 they went to Rockstar and were able to secure GTA V for PS4. Rockstar will easily make their money back on GTA V from the current gen versions. So putting GTA V out on just the PS4 using the money Sony gave them would be just pure profit. Also it would be huge for Sony despite ...
Well I watched the driving one and flipped through the other one some. The driving looks much tighter than GTA IV. Definitely looks more like something you would see in a straight up racing game.
I know they have said you can create your own races in the game. Along with the obvious lap races it would be cool if you could setup drag races. Since people can upgrade their cars it would be interesting to be able to put up a car you modded and spent in game money on in a winner take all. Even in lapped races it would be very interesting to see if at the end the winner got his choice of cars from the losers. Give people the chance to put their money or cars on the line in the game.

Well Microsoft is still content to wait until they release the XBOX One to fully embrace Day One Digital. For the 360 they have always had a policy of waiting up to 6 months before allowing gamers to buy a digital copy of a retail game. If you want to get this as a digital copy on Day One then you need to have a PS3.
I already have a 750gb HDD in my PS3 so this really isn't that big of a deal for me.
Well in Europe they did have the option of pre loading it until some of the assets got hacked. You can still pre order it on PS3 and download it at midnight. The 360 will not have GTA V for digital release on day one though. No word yet on when they will even have the digital copy.
@steve30x
The very first GTA had Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas. GTA 2 had Anywhere, USA as the city. Then later London 1969 was released. When it made the switch to 3D we didn't get multiple cities until San Andreas.
Well that is sad coming from them. I bought all three brand new. I loved Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs. Hitman Absolution was fun but I still haven't beat it. I can't wait for TR2 and I hope they give us a Sleeping Dogs 2 on next gen.
I still want a Vita. Granted I won't be the only one using it. I plan on letting my kids use it for some games as well which will go great for road trips. Also I could feasibly take it to work with me and on the nights that I'm working and I literally don;t have anything else to do. Well let's just say I can get in some PS4 time via remote play or just play some of the Vita titles.
If anything this will actually help the Vita. More people will look seriously at Vita games and they will start to sell more. Which means more games will be made for it. Some people will still want to play those games on the go so they will pick up the Vita. Then if they want to play them at home just pop the game into the Vita TV. Also this will work great for people with a PS4 but multiple TVs in the house. If someone is using the TV that the PS4 is plugged into then just stream it to the V...
I plan on getting to the top of Mt. Chiliad and either just jumping off with no parachute just to laugh my ass off as I tumble down or drive off and see how long the vehicle can survive.
Edit: It looks like their are no roads to the top. Unless the map is only showing main roads and not dirt paths. Either way I'm getting to the top and as soon as possible. Going to be a lot of fun to bad had in this game.
That is what I thought as well but this certainly says otherwise. I hope that they aren't released separately though. I want the whole experience on PS4 and I am willing to wait until it is released on the PS4. I really didn't plan on buying any of it for PS3 but now I may not have a choice.
The part of the article that concerns me a little is where they state that Ground Zeroes is coming out on current gen consoles. While Phantom Pain is coming out on current and next gen consoles. What happened to both parts being part of the same game?
I still don't have a Vita so I haven't had the chance to play this yet. Will definitely be picking it up on PS3 though. Once I get a VIta I will probably end up skipping it on that.
It is indeed real. Trailer just released for it on Playstation's youtube channel.

Ok. I see what they are saying. I so wonder why it has such an issue loading from a hard drive though. You would think it would access things a little faster that way.
