Bubs for you.
What's worse are adults who act like children. Who do all of what you described, except they're old enough to know better.
@ Lu Kim
You're not forced to pirate, dude. It's called going without.
@ TBM - that's a lame attempt to win people over. You burn games you wouldn't spend money on to begin with.
Those games probably come from smaller developers who need the money.
LOL! Good points!
I love the RE series, and I write for a survival horror website. What you're saying is the absolute truth. I like RE5 more than I do 4 now. RE4 is so over-hyped, it's a good game, but after it's been re-released so many damn times, it's lost its appeal.
I don't believe that video games are addictive. Just habitual, combined with a lack of motivation to go do anything else.
Not without some shaving cream...
What I want to know is how it does all of this without overheating.
Ten hundred is 1000. And there's no way they'd charge $1000 for this.
A review is an opinion. Whether or not that opinion is very reliable is personal experience. Fun and boring are subjective - they vary from person to person. You can not describe something as being fun and be objective at the same time.
Do you trust the reviewer? Have they recommended games that you have enjoyed in the past? That's how you know you can trust that reviewer's opinion. I believe that people are confusing this whole issue with 'biased.' If ...
The fact remains the same that the series uses characters 1 time and then forgets about them.
She didn't throw off the original intention, she was put in as Chris' backup because of the allegations of racism. In the book, the Art of Resident Evil 5, the devs stated that they initially had plans for a single player game, with Jill making an appearance as another squad leader, not a partner. And Barry was never intended to be used in the game, unless you have some sor...
I played through the game dozens of times on vet and expert, and honestly, she never stole anything from me that I didn't need.
Get over it. The RE universe is known for using characters in 1 game and then only giving them passing mention in others. Carlos, Billy, Steve, Sheva is just another one. Too bad, really - they're all great characters.
Unlimited ammo? This game better be fuckin hard to warrant unlimited ammo.
You just undid all the good of the first part of your comment by resorting to name-calling...
@ Dloc - unless it's not a high-school football team.
How exactly? His dad coaches a local football team, he's on the football team. When he reached a certain age, he advanced to another team, quit football, or his father retired from coaching.
How exactly is that messed up? lol
And that brings us back to my first point, it's an old movie. It's not as frightening now as it was back when it was released, but in its time it was really scary for a lot of people.
The Exorcist is almost 40 years old. Also, forgive me for making an assumption here, but the film tends to lose a lot of its bite if you're an atheist.
Horror games have so have so much power in them because unlike a movie, the game cannot proceed without player interaction. That means that eventually you have to man (or woman) up and take the plunge.
A game that takes such a huge risk for the sake of propelling the gaming industry into something new, setting such a precedent and also being pretty damned good? It was the king of an era. Kind of like how some people love Casablanca, or Gone With the Wind - they were great movies, but they had their place in time.
A game that doesn't have a demo is more than likely a game that if I purchase is going to be used. Unless it's a game in a series that I'm already familiar with or have been looking forward to. If I don't like it, it's going back to the store where someone else can pick it up used. If devs don't like this, they should include a demo. Download only titles should definitely have demos.
Not that I think used-games are the bane of the industry, that...
Angela Orosco was far more depressing than Luis Sera. You knew that it was going to happen, you knew that it 'had' to happen. But at the same time, it was some eerie potential foreshadowing. I kind of feel the same way about the In Water ending. It seems like the only logical ending to that game.
