Sometimes it's frightening how there are people out there who make the claim to be addicted to something, even if it's a video game.

Why would you give anti-gamers something to hold over our heads? I can just hear it now, "Video games should be banned not only because they're violent, but on the premise that they're addictive. 8.5% of our kids are addicted to games!"

But you can always do that without fixed cameras. A camera that's directly behind the player can still hide what's around the next corner, behind a door, or right behind you.

Very nice work.

-fixed camera and pre-rendered backgrounds

Why would you want to play a game that was a step backward 10 years or so?

Haha whoops! You caught my typo! But don't forget that periods go right after the end of the sentence - no space. But you must not understand punctuation or capitalization.

This is has to be one of the most poorly written articles I've ever read.

On top of that, it makes a lot of assumptions about girls and dildos.

When I write reviews, I try to post clips of gameplay within them. The gameplay is the objective part of the review, as well as a description of what the game is about. A review is a recommendation to either pick up a game or leave it alone. It's impossible to be objective in a review - I don't understand what people are expecting when they actually read a review. If you want an objective look at a game, look at gameplay videos. If you're looking for an opinion (perhaps a tru...

It sucks that they didn't have the game you were looking for, but if they treated you rudely and you just rolled over and took it only to come and complain on the internet - then expect to have that happened to you all the time.

If you're expecting people in retail to be nice to you at - of all times - December 23, then don't go out. Retail employees are under a lot of pressure to sell. And regardless of what the company motto says, retailers only care about the...

No...the letter S, if you pronounce it phonetically, sounds like 'ES.'

So 'an SNES' is proper, unless when you see an acronym, you automatically think of the entire word. An Super Nintendo Entertainment System would be incorrect, but 'an SNES' is totally correct, because the S that begins the acronym starts with S, which we already discussed sounds phonetically like 'ES.'

If you don't believe me...

Aww, this is a cute story. Grandpa totally got him the SNES because it wasn't wrapped. If it was from Mom and Dad, it would have been wrapped with bows all over it. Grandpas are cool like that.

When you're referring to acronyms and many other words, it's the sound of the first letter that determines whether an 'a/an' precedes it. 'S' sounds like 'es' and 'an SNES' is proper.

There are a few exceptions to the rule of a/an, too. Words that begin with U but sound like they begin with Y, like union and unicorn don't require "an" and some words that start with H do, as in historic or honest. It all depends on the s...

The very first game that I found caused me motion sickness was Goldeneye. It happened again with Doom 64. Sadness all around.

L4D2 was actually the first FPS I could play without getting sick. However, if I have a headache, it's compounded when I play any FPS.

@ NegativeCreep - cause you're SOOO AWESOME! Being able to plunk down $250-$300 without putting on credit or even flinching because you have no other financial responsibilities and an awesome job? Or you have such a good job that those other financial responsibilities during the holiday season just don't really matter?

We should all be just like you.

I think that Microsoft should focus on what got it so popular in the first place. Exclusive IPs are good, but what MS stands above the crowd for is its online component. Sony has really come up from behind in that arena, but the race isn't over yet.

The problem is that the Playstation 3 launched as having something for everyone with integrated blu-ray, free online, browser(albeit a shitty one) - technically it appealed to everyone. Microsoft is just catching up to that...

Gotta agree with that sentiment. Once you cheat, all the challenge disappears from a game, especially current ones. The games this author is referring to aren't exactly cheats, but in-game methods to make the game easier.

If you cheat in single-player modes on consoles, achievements and trophies should be disabled until you delete the save and start a new game with cheats turned off.

The guy is pissed because the amount he's spent in games could buy a half-decent used car? Or is it the fact that he hasn't even played most of the games he's bought?

Either way, that's pretty overboard.

Hey, people cheat - it happens all the time. The important thing to note if you feel any guilt about it is would you change? Would you fall into the same misstep with the same or another person? Or would you always remember the hurt and anguish you'd caused?
