Game prices haven't gone up. I remember paying ____ for ____ on the _____. it's our perception of game prices that have changed. People seem to think that DLC is required with a purchase, which it is not, but adds to the total purchase of the title.
It's not just prices that are this way - people seem to feel this way about the length of games too. Paying 60 bucks for a 4 hour game? Ridiculous - even though it took about 3 hours to get through Resident Evil 2....

@ T90 - but L4D2 is superior to L4D1 in almost every way. Most of the people that spoke out against it, saying they were boycotting it were playing the game anyways when it came out.

If this was something that could record gameplay and have semi-decent compression and a removable and replaceable hard drive, then I'd definitely be plunking out the cash for one right now. But as it is, it just seems like too big of a niche product.

Leon is a strange character. He resonates really well with gamers because he's shy, but had noble ideals. He got his heart broken by someone who would rather fake their own death. He could actually be pretty much ANYBODY.

I think it's the sex that gets an AO rating. Oddly enough Telltale Games rep was discussing it on a video about The Walking Dead game. You can show the goriest kills and use the worst language, but if you show more than a little sex your game gets slapped with an AO rating.

When you say 'how little care' do you mean reception? Because all we have to do is look at the reviews. The reviewers even cite that the games might be bad, but they're classics so we should somehow give them a free pass.

I always thought of Extra Credits to be overly preachy, but their idea of auto-muting players who have had a history of being muted is a good one, and would be a good start if implemented.
