Arkham City for 30 dollars is a deal?
/looks at Steam
Yeah, GOTY edition with all DLC... $10.20
And smart phones, tablets, and several other devices are nothing but specialized PCs too.
I will gladly embrace digital distribution when you...
1. Quit tying discounts on games to subscription fees
2. Actually let the price of things come down once it gets old... WITHOUT exception.
3. Quit this nickle and dime system. Major content is fine but games used to come WITH all these damn costumes and crap. Knock it off.
Is the PS4 worth it? Let me check my crystal ball or perhaps crank up my time machine. Unless you've got one or the other you really don't know for certain yet.
There was little if any discernible difference between the PS2 and the Xbox unless it was a case of poorly done porting.
There was little if any discernible difference between the PS3 and the 360 unless it was a case of poorly done porting.
Go ahead, guess what the discernible difference between the PS4 and 720 will be... Just guess.
You really don't need to give skeptics like me another reason to write off the PS4 by making PS+ 'crucial'.
Cliffy, go look up the word 'pretentious' then get back to us.
You can make it as pretty as you want. The fact is you made another FPS... in a market with a billion of them.
If you'd like to compare games at the start of a console run to the games we get later on down the line... The start always looks a bit like 'upgraded current gen', PS3.5 or so.
Certainly better but you have to look at the potential as much as what they show you.
Sony may have learned their 'hard to develop for' lesson by now, we can always hope.
Sigh, kids these days. You have to explain everything to them.
Sony putting pressure on devs to make games in a certain way can have unintended consequences, such as what happened with VC.
Now they seem intent on trying to push them in to their Vita tie ins as well. My point was perhaps Sony could just leave the people making the games alone instead of trying to push them in to things.
Console makers being pushy has a sordid history going ba...
Whether or not a game is released in the US and how it sells doesn't mean as much as you think to JP devs.
VC was made for the JP audience. How well it sold there is really all that matters to the people who make it.
And it is true, regardless of anything else, that Sony pushed them to make a VC game on the PSP.
Valkyria Chronciles ended up on the damn PSP because of Sony pushing and shoving devs to put games on it.
How bout you just let companies make the games they want however they want and be damn happy they're not on a competitors system instead?
A benchmark for a game nobody plays?
If that Share thing lets you record stuff people are saying then I sure as hell hope there's an "upload and report this little ****" feature there.
Because I assure you, ban hammers go a long, long, long way in to cleaning things up.
Uh, I'm sorry if I don't take your word for that EA. You might be biased.
More casualties of the recession it seems.
They were desperate to get the JRPG set interested.
I personally have no intention of so much as looking at a PS4 and even I say this is bull. They're doing things that get a lot of people excited.
Not even slightly. What used to be at least a somewhat objective few has become a mass of subjective biased tools.
