Mirror's Edge question you say?
'No, we're going to continue to crank out Me Too FPS games. We tried that whole 'innovation' thing and it was scary'
"Time Machine: Rouge Pilot"
Fail.
R-O-G-U-E find out how to spell it for me.
Most of the haters were "...It's not OoT so it sucks" anyway, so ignore them.
Right from the word go I never liked KH but it wasn't until the second game that I realized 99.99% of the 'fandom' for the games revolved around the inclusion of FF7 characters.
When I pointed this out fans of the game screamed bloody murder then a month later the voice actor list was released and it was a 5-6 page form discussion on who was voicing the FF7 characters... Just the FF7 characters.
I linked back to my comment and did a 'lol whut...
Because why would you want an inferior control system to a keyboard and mouse?
Played the PC demo and the character graphics really didn't impress me.
The problem is that you will never find people more prone to being hyper critical of a game and saying it sucks than the people who didn't have to pay for it.
I'm dead serious, I know people who pirate nearly everything and almost without exception "Yeah, I played that, it sucks", doesn't matter what it is.
People who pay for nothing appreciate nothing.
Apparently not...
Oh wait, Japanese RPGs? Yeah, those have to have the most amazing stories ever written, along with the best graphics, and absolutely no flaws what so ever...
...And they'll still get lower scores than some RPGs from 'other' regions that are flawed all to hell and have no story to speak of.
I still think a little of stems from Sony's absolute dominance during the PS1 and PS2 era. It wasn't even a competition back then, it was Sony's market, period.
Some people resented that for a variety of reasons. I still maintain that no small part of the hype and praise for some non-PS exclusives was 'Woohoo! Finally something PS doesn't have and we do! That makes this good game even BETTER somehow!'
There are all sorts of legitimate reasons not to do business with Gamestop. You don't need to repost things you 'heard on the internet' but cannot confirm for yourself.
Anyone remember the good old days when things like colors and costumes would be included with a game to begin with?
If you said to these candidates "All you have to do is ban video games completely and you will be president" they would all, without exception, agree to do it.
That's where they stand on them.
But you are pretending that putting that emo man-child in as the main character is a good idea.
Why are bigoted websites such as this one allowed to continue posting to N4G?
Certainly not the worst simply because the characters had personality, depth, and development and as disjointed at it was at time, there was a story.
The only problem FF13 really had was the corridor issue but really, would it have changed anything by twisting those long corridors up in to pretzels and adding a bunch or random dead ends and treasure chests? Perhaps, but then again a lot of the settings in FF13 would have made no sense as mazes.
A PS3 that isn't backwards compatible isn't an upgrade for me no matter how much HD space you throw in.
The key difference here is that GT was never designed from day one, hour one, second one to be a knock off of another game on a rival console.
Forza was.
The original will always be better than the knock off no matter how good the knock off gets.
I'm going to go ahead and call the company that actually managed to delete all characters and game data from it's server by mistake the biggest 'blunder' in MMO history, much less this year.
It was a game with no English release, so we never heard of it over here.
You will remember quickly why you left in the first place.
