So basically rather than be revolutionary its going to be another game in a pile of third person action games.
Now I realize I'm late but.
Yes it was. In so far as FF7 goes? Not only is that over rated, it's not even very good. MGS is hailed as a great game, as it should be, but it was not without its flaws and people could recognize them.
By that point MGS was just one of many block buster titles. The PS1 didn't "need" it to feel like it had a reason to be there.
You're also making assumptions about the lack of bias on the...
OoT is a good game, even a great game, but it is not as many would like to claim 'the best game EVER' or anything remotely close to being the best.
The first Halo and OoT are praised as much as they are for one reason and one reason only: They made people feel justified in having purchased a system.
With the first XBox crushed by the PS2 and the N64 crushed by the PS1, owners of the crushed consoles finally got something they could hold up and say &qu...
They'll need an "Arch Rivals" mode now.
Game from the late 80s-early 90s, go look it up if you need to.
While some of these criticism strike me as honest, some come off more like the whining of a person who is so used to a game holding your hand and telling you precisely what to do that when it doesn't... It means there's something wrong with the game.
And now we get to learn why such things are not released to begin with as "X game was on the list but it never came out!" complaints will start.
Regen health is just laziness. It always has been. Without it you have to use some type of healing item which means deciding how rare such things are based on what you want the difficulty to be.
I can almost see it now...
'Let's just have health regen, so we don't have to worry about it'
Well I'm glad to know Japanese games shouldn't get a free pass... Because the last few years that's precisely the opposite of what has happened.
It's American games that have gotten the free pass lately.
For some strange reason putting the "J" in front of "RPG" seems to make the gaming press turn in to a bunch of hyper critical pricks.
Useless.
That's nothing but cut scenes.
Very impressive.
I think we figured out years ago that Microsoft bought Rare just to make sure they didn't make games for the rival consoles.
I've seen this argument a hundred times and it is still invalid. The idea that because people wouldn't pay for it under any circumstance the company has lost nothing even if piracy didn't exist.
The main reason that it ends up being invalid is because people develop a sense of entitlement to 'free' games and will stop paying for anything.
How can they know that?
I'm not even saying its impossible, and those of you who are saying it is don't actually know, but how do they know it?
The 1.04 patch notes you say?
'Oh CRAP. GW2 is coming out... DO something'
That would be the short version.
I strongly suspect Hush will be a major element of the next game. Without the Joker, Hugo Strange, or Ra's to use, Hush is probably the best bet. There were also some very clear indications that Azreal would play a role in the next game.
Another 'consequences' game? Really?
People's inability to grasp the purpose of some tests never ceases to amaze me.
If your computer suffered a complete breakdown during a beta, guess what? That's on you. Not the developers. You knew you were using software that could make your computer go nuts.
A beta is not, in spite of popular belief, a chance for you to play the game like you would if it came out. This is not a demo, this is not a preview, this is a beta tests and beta software mea...
I seem to recall that the PS3 was doomed, and that Sony had messed up, and a hundred other things.
Some of the gaming news sites are still not over being so completely wrong about that.
There's closing the barn door after the horse is gone.
Then there's this...
Which is more akin to closing the barn door after the horse is gone, died of old age, and the barn has fallen apart.
I don't doubt it at all.
Now let's talk about people who are crazy sports fans...
