I do wonder what a PS4 at $149 would do. I assume this fall will see some $199 bundles, so that should be done indication.
Game Boy sales are fake; they combine Game Boy and Game Boy Color. As the kid in elementary school who cluelessly got his first game boy pocket 10 minutes before the color came out, then couldn't play any new games because they were all for the color, I do not accept this, haha. But seriously, it's like combining DS and 3DS sales, or PSP and Vita sales.
You have to realize that the people who get on sites like this and pay attention to/talk about the bad business practices of these companies is such a small segment of the overall game-buying population, even of all or most of the people aware of this stuff boycott the companies, it won't make that much of a difference. The fact that we were able to hit Battlefront II as hard as we did was a real achievement (yes, people who have no concept of how business works will say "no BF2 stil...
Yep. The PS1/N64 gen ages the worst by far.
Wii games sales tanked the last few years of the generation. If you look at a list of the system's best selling games, it's crowded with stuff from the early years, despite the larger install base later. Towards the end the Just Dance games were the only things selling major units.
Have fun with constant lag.
Yeah, crazy how those stupid sheep all bought the Wii U.
Most car shoppers are reckless spenders. Smart people steal a vehicle.
Probably due to the crickets they heard from last time.
I do wonder when the switch will get a price drop. I know it doesn't need one now due to strong sales, but imagine what it is going to do at $199. Heck, a Pokemon bundle under $300 woukd be huge.
Lol the 3DS XL looked like a fisher price toy. It made absolutely no sense; with the original DS, it started fat and cheap-looking, then they made it sleek and small (DS lite) and it was a huge hit. Then with 3DS they started small and sleek, then brought out the fat, terrible-looking version as a new model and people inexplicably bought it over the original version.
I don't mean this as an insult, because I think it is actually smart game design, but I think the target audience for Fortnite is people who either haven't played many multiplayer shooters before or have tried but have never been very successful. To a certain extent I think that's actually true of all battle royale games (people who would be bad at a team-based shooter and hurt their team's chances can camp out strategically and make it to the top 15 or 20 out of 100 and feel...
Switch hate is so weird. This coming from a guy who actively hated on the Wii at every possible opportunity.
I highly recommend this to anyone who happens to have a 3DS still who hasn't played it yet. To me it was the perfect blend of a the best parts of 2D and 3D Mario games.
Yeah it kills me how much people bend over backward to act like Bioware is a top tier dev. Mass Effect was cool in a lot of ways (world and lore of that universe are basically unparalleled) but it never felt good to play. People's complaints with Andromeda were the complaints I had with ME1. However, even assuming for argument's sake that the earlier games were great, I don't know why people continued to hope for Anthem after Andromeda.
2 reasons:
1. "Taking" an exclusive from "the other side." Probably inapplicable in this case because the game is relatively niche, but that is one reason.
2. People don't like not having the option to get a game. Once the game is available, you may decide you don't want it or that you can wait for a sale, but when you can't play it, it feels more alluring.
They are just very played out at this point.
You started off strong by being realistic about nothing being on the same level as Mario in terms of a name, then really undercut yourself by acting like Sonic is in the same bracket. Sonic has never been good, and even assuming for the sake of argument that the earliest Sonic games were good, it hasn't been relevant in 20+ years.
If this keeps up, the launch out of nowhere is going to look genius. If they had announced this months in advance, it would have gotten slammed for being another MT-laden BR. I'm sure I would have been among those criticizing it.
I'm essentially all digital now anyway, but I always buy the first game for each console physically because I am unsure if the servers are going to hold up on the day the console releases. So my last two experiences in GameStop were buying Breath of the Wild and Killzone:Shadow Fall. When I bought Killzone, the guy tried to act like my ID was fake and that I wasn't really 17 (I was 23 at the time). And when I bought Breath of the Wild, the cashier literally spent minutes trying to ups...
