Show me the places anywhere in the media world where people came forth and said "I want 20 remakes of Final Fantasy I and II" or "I want to play FFIV for the 9471239847239074123947th time". SE DECIDED to make remakes WITHOUT the help from fans. The ONLY remakes I have ever heard FF fans asking for are FF's VI thru VIII and sometimes IX. The games people want SE to make remakes of, and GOOD remakes not these pathetic DS touch ups, are games like Secret of Mana... Saga Front...
Why? Why should the PS3 have those features? Because the 360 has them? When was it decided that those things are a must to game online? Who made that decision? Do you NEED cross game invites to play the game? Do you not have telephones, or email, or gaming websites in which to setup games BEFORE you start playing them? Do the lack of these features prevent you from inserting the game disc into the machine, and your ISP from connecting you to the server so that you can play the game online? <...
I loved the first, despite the repetition, because I loved finding new ways to make the repetitive missions different, I loved stealth assassinating, and I loved the massive cities. I just want the swimming ability, and trophy support for the next one.
I LOVE the first Assassin's Creed. I agree that the game was grossly repetitive, and finding the flags/templars in the PS3 version is pretty useless, and once you get the counter skill all the battles are so easy, but I loved how big the game was, all the detail of it. It was great. You could go to the highest viewpoint and look around the city, and it ACTUALLY WAS that big. I love it.
What if he's, say, a Chinese person just learning to speak English, but knows how to type it pretty well? And also let's say he has friends from all over the world. Now, if he can barely speak English, and he has friends who CAN'T speak Chinese, what would be the best way for them to communicate? Keeping in mind that they can ALL text English well.
I remember the game from popcan productions. Was the best looking and playing game of all time, took the top spot in "best game in teh universe" charts and everything. It was..... oh wait a minute.... *looks away* what's that? There's no development studio called Popcan productions? He's just a fanboy on "teh internetz"? So you're saying that his opinion is valid because everyone has the right to one, and yet invalid because he knows nothing about programming for the PS3? ...
Let's see, build a console on ONE franchise, or build a console on MULTIPLE franchises.
See, there's the thing 360 fanboys always seem to forget. Halo 1 was good. And it was the ONLY Halo game that was good. It started the franchise, created expectations, and that's why every other consecutive Halo game sells well. Halo is the Xbox brand. It is expected that the franchise that built the brand will always sell well.
Name the one franchise that propelled the Playstatio...
Another riveting piece of journalism from HHG. Does anyone here really care? I means seriously.
HipHopGamerShow will release an interview with an ex-developer from some former Microsoft Games 1st party studio who will say "MAG is possible on the 360". I also predict a flame war. Oops, too late.
Your argument is nullified by the fact that Live has been around longer, hence 360 fanboys were the first to make the comparison stating that Sony is trying to copy Microsoft with online console gaming. The fact of the matter is, if 360 fanboys never criticized PSN for features it lacked, PS3 fanboys wouldn't have retaliated and Sony wouldn't have heard massive complaints talking about "why isn't there this or that when Live has it"?
Either way, the point is moot becaus...
@GiantEnemyCrab: Blu-Ray's necessity is about as questionable as having disc media at all. But then again, if you want to be glib about it, what's the point in having home consoles when PC's are so much better. Harddrives are faster than disc media, they can hold more, pc's have better hardware, so in the end, consoles aren't needed. Anyone can over-simplify.
@likedamaster: Why? Why do you need party chat? Are you incapable of placing the disc inside the console, powering it on, ...
Here's the thing, none of them are "needed" in the sense that Soda is talking about. You PREFER to have them do to their obvious benefits, but they aren't needed. They are not fundamental in any way. People made due without them for a long time, so it's obvious that they are not a necessity. They started out as luxuries that people got used to. You could eat caviar every day of your life, but it doesn't mean you NEED it. Food is food, online gaming is online gaming. All you need are...
Thanks, bubbles to you for having common sense.
Because 360 fanboys, such as yourself, make a big deal about what Sony DOESN'T have on PSN, leading to years of unwarranted bashing that so many people got sick and tired of that it became second nature to "defend" what never needed, and still doesn't need, defending?
I can bet money that even if these sites never said the words you quoted, you and your ilk would still find fault with any firmware version Sony released and start the ridiculous bashing cycle all over aga...
Who made the arbitrary decision that what the 360 has in Live are "fundamental features" for a home console? That's the arrogance of 360 fanboys, and Microsoft talking. There are only 2 fundamental features necessary to enjoy online gaming. Having a game, and having an internet connection. Those are fundamental. Those are the ONLY two things necessary to play online. Everything else isn't necessary. You don't NEED to have text chat to play online, you don't NEED cross-game invites o...
When it comes to computer technology, anything is technically "possible". BUT, there are degrees to consider. Is it possible to have Killzone 2 on the 360? Sure. Up to PS3's quality in all areas? Nope.
Is it possible to have Crysis on the 360 or PS3? Yep. Up to PC quality? Probably not.
It's all about degrees.
I'm assuming that reply isn't towards me, since I didn't say anything about Netflix being needed on the PS3.
LOL, at the disagree that Cnet bashes the PS3.
With the way CNET has always and is always bashing Sony or the PS3, CNET = Autofail when it comes to anything PS3 related.
I know, I was just making a reply to you since you copied it from the article.
Ummm, SE have proven they don't care about making anyone wait. They are making 2 other regions, otherwise known as 2/3 the gaming world, wait for FFXIII on the PS3 because they were greedy and took a cash grab from M$. See, this is how it will work. Japan gets FFXIII for the PS3 the end of this year. At that time, localization for the other regions' PS3 releases begins, as well as the porting of the entire game to the 360. Assume a minimum of 6 months for localizations for the PS3 version, wh...
