You add online to an FPS, and suddenly all of them are innovative. Newsflash, FPS's haven't exactly progressed leaps and bounds either. *sigh*
Cry me a river Activision. You're not the only one looking to make money you know. If Sony drops the price, they lose money. Does it sound smart to lose money during a global recession? I swear these people never think.
Umm, I'm sorry perhaps you can clarify something for me...
You would take FFXI over FFX?
I can see over FFXII because that game is boring as hell, but FFX? No frickin' way. FFX is epic. The last great FF game ever made. There's no way that FFXI compares at all.
But, then again, it is just your opinion. And you are entitled to it. But it boggles the mind that someone could take FFXI over FFX. FFX's story alone is reason enough to be confused about that. I...
I think I'll play it safe and just go with the compressed air cans, especially since you can't get the 60GB's anymore and I really want it to last. But thanks for getting back to me on this. Bubbles for all of you.
I'm glad someone else thinks so to. SE so can't be trusted at all. I definitely wouldn't put this past them at all. I always found it to be a questionable business practice to delay profits in every other region for a year, but this makes perfect sense for the delay. After all, before it became Crystal Tools, which didn't happen until the November before last years E3, the White Engine was a PS3 game engine and FFXIII had at least 2 or 3 years in development time put into it. There really is ...
Can the launch model PS3's (you know, the massively expensive 60GB, with all the features built in, a.k.a. the best model and the one i have) do that fan test?
Maybe it's MGS4 to Peace Walker integration via the PSP to PS3 feature.
Another member of the Warden family.
I think the PS3 version's delay can be used for this very reason too. Here's my reasoning. They complete the PS3 version, well before it's release date. They see how big the game is and know what will and won't work on the 360 version, so they pull up the PS3 version and cut what they can before the release date and no one will know about it. Sounds plausible to me.
cinematics don't take up as much space as you might think.
Ok, you're seriously very sad. But what's sadder is that your shameless attention whoring works. When people are confronted with sheer stupidity, they can't help but ask "WTF?!!!" And they always will.
People of N4G. Brad Warden (a.k.a. WhyDis) is just like his older brother Chad Warden only on the opposite side. Chad Warden did what he did on purpose and it was all a joke to him, the same applies to Brad Warden there. Just ignore him. He probably only owns a frickin' W...
@Mini Mario: I can't stand shooters, so your argument is lost on me. I define hardcore as games that are designed for the gamers who have been gaming since before Playstation came into the fold. People with more mature tastes who, yeah they can play a light hearted game every now and then, but they prefer something with greater substance and depth. SSBB isn't deep, and I personally don't consider SF (especially SFIV) to be deep either.
@Sidar: I can agree with the statement that ...
@Mini Mario: Nintendo have also said they won't begin development of the next game in a series if the sales are still good.
@Sidar: Took long enough eh?
Nintendo isn't keeping anything a secret. They reveal it when they have an interest to create it. They follow the Evergreen formula. As long as a specific genre of game, or game itself, continues to sell, they have no interest in making a new game of the same genre or series. Case in point, Legend of Zelda. How long has it been since Twilight Princess was released?
Nintendo is SOOOOOO the problem. 3rd parties are the ones that make the Wii's so called "hardcore" games, and 9/10 of them suck ass, and the last one is a rip off of an older game (see Resident Evil 5). Nintendo is most definitely the problem. Unless you're the type that considers SSBB to be "hardcore".
Speak for yourself. I've been playing RPG's since the NES as well, and I'm perfectly happy with the turn-based FF's. FFXII tried to go the other route and sucked ass. FF VersusXIII is looking to go the KH button masher approach, and I don't want an FF game like Mass Effect or Oblivion. As the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Granted, they do look kind of stupid just standing there waiting to attack, but the ATB is synonymous with FF. And when SE tried to change that,...
The 360 is inferior hardware. The tech within it is obsolete and it is poorly designed and built. That by definition is inferior. What people are "buying" as you claim is the FACT that the PS3 was built with new tech for a new generation, the 360 wasn't. You don't need to look at marketing to see that.
"And, as for the Games, LOOK AT THE SALES. They tell you **EXACTLY** what people want, you know, but showing you what they get(ie: buy)."
Sales are...
What prize is there for owning the console that ends in first place this gen? What bragging rights do you get for having a console that's in second place? Are you less of a person for owning the console in 3rd place?
Here's the answer. 1. Nothing. 2. None. 3. No.
The fact is, the Wii is in first place with a large library of sh1tty games. The 360 is in second place with inferior hardware and (thus far this year) lame games. The PS3 is in last place with a high price ...
Moderation would be in order, but the lack of any kind of passion from gamers this day and age leads to the acceptance of the RROD, DMC4's half-assed design, and game lengths being only 7 hours long (Heavenly Sword) because people are favoring flash over substance.
Seriously, this is the lamest excuse of an idle threat I've ever heard. Activision can say they'll have to consider dropping the PS3 all they want, but they never will. The fact is, that list of games is sad. Most of Activisions games are mediocre, so no one will be terribly disappointed. Plus, in a fight between Sony (a multinational conglomerate that is also a house hold name) and Activision (maybe the largest 3rd party publisher, but puny in comparison to Sony) I'd bet on Sony any day. Hel...
