I'm sure this will follow the usual pattern of denial or rage...
'We didn't want that game anyway'.
or
'Sony are despicable for money-hatting Capcom'
Sony fans did it when Tomb Raider when exclusive to XB1, now MS fans can do the same about Street Fighter V.
There is no good here.
The people punished are not the publishers - it's the players.
Over the last couple of years I have really started to like Asus gear. My last Mobo was Asus and it is by far the best I have used.
If I was building a mini-PC I would definitely consider this. looks like some good engineering.
I didn't say it had anything to do with it.
I said they could ride the hype.
A dinosaur movie generates more excitement and interest in... guess what!.. Dinosaurs! - That generally results in more sales of dinosaur related merchandise, so releasing a new Dino Crisis game during this period is bound to result in a few extra sales as people get caught up in the hype of frenzy.
When the original Jurassic Park came out, Universities and Col...
Rubbish...
DriveClub on Day 1 was far too broken to sweep it under the carpet of 'hard to account for all possibilities'.
1. They could have called the PS+ version a Beta, and got data that way
2. They could have released a limited open beta
They didn't. They did a small internal beta test. And they probably ran synthetic tests.
Even Bungie, who did their massive beta test for Destiny still had ...
I just want the 20th Anniversary PS4. Tempted to trade in my black one if I can get one of the 12,000+ limited editions.
Dino Crisis.
Would make sense.
Ride off the back of the hype for the new Jurassic World film
I think RNG in digital card games is fine. Sometimes the luck is with you and other times it is not.
Most people think RNG is bad because we all have a natural disposition to think we are getting screwed by it. But on the other side, those times when RNG works exactly in our favour sweetens the victory so much more.
Used tactically it can be a great tool. A big risk versus a big reward.
In something like Hearthstone we can mitigate RNG on ...

Given the choice between a new Crash or a new Jak & Daxter - I'd go for J&D every time.
I played Crash back when it launched, but was never a huge fan, I could never see what the fuss was about. Heck, I'd even rather see a Spyro by ND before Crash (not that will ever happen because of Skylanders)
He has an interesting take on RTS games. I don't know if he's talking rubbish to drum up press for his next game, or has never played an RTS.
I've never found them sadomasochistic. They are a game of wits, strategy, cunning and guile. You have to be able to adapt strategy, and react fast.
I'm more than happy to have another RTS to play - but I don't think the genre needs 'fixing'.
Goddam I'd love a WiiU F-Zero.
Having seen what Nintendo have done with Mario Kart 8, I can only imagine what a new F-Zero would be like.
It should be a no-brainer. Fans want it. They have a game engine to run it...
I agree they may have stuck a bit too closely to the original vision of Elite. But I can only see it growing over time.
When I played it back in 1984-ish it was mind blowing - even though there wasn't much to do. I liked it because the experience was so free-form and bit more relaxed - and that does still comes through now. I love having a galaxy to immerse myself in.
In 2014 expectations may be different - but I hope it doesn't get criticised for ...
Suspend / resume is a great feature, but not one I would call 'killer'. But then again I grew up waiting minutes for a game to load off tape... So maybe I'm a bit more patient. :)
In terms of UI - I think both have pros and cons. I don't like that MS seem to bury the price of stuff in their store under numerous clicks. I would prefer to organise the library myself in the PS4 UI, making my own folders etc.
Games are the only killer feature ...
I played the first two Gamma releases. The game is excellent. I'm now going to wait until Dec 16th to start playing properly.
I hope this game gets the recognition and player base it deserves.
I'm starting to get a little concerned about this game.
63million is a lot of money - but it seems the scope of the game keeps getting bigger and bigger. I'm concerned they will end up releasing something that is less than the sum of its parts.
A space combat trading game AND FPS. Hmm, not sure. I backed this for a next gen Wing Commander. Plus the ridiculous prices for new ships - over $100 for some is just crazy and feels like gouging. I half e...
A triple-A third party title like GTAV will never appear on WiiU.
People bang on about the lack of Nintendo 3rd party support in one breath, then claim they buy XB1 / PS4 for the exclusives in the next!
I don't see anything wrong with slapping their mascots on almost every game, if the title is good. Mario Kart would still be one of the best racing games without Mario - and each version feels a bit different. Smash bros would still be one of the best fi...
Maybe I'm just a jaded grumpy old gamer. But I have never been less excited about the AAA offerings of a console generation than this one.
Such promise, but such mediocre delivery so far.
I'm glad others are seeing it through starry eyes though!
I would certainly say it's a golden age for Indie developers and smaller games. And a golden age for a new or unknown dev to make a game that grabs the public attention (like Day Z). Also games have never been more mainstream than now, which expands the market.
But I agree that many AAA games are all about the money, and screwing the customer.
The thing that slightly saddens me is that we, the consumer, have the power to stop this if we just voted with ...
Why do we have to compare?
Right now I own a WiiU with some of the best games I have played this year. I don't care whether it is Year 1, 2 or 10. It's been a dry year for PS4 and XB1 - I've not bought a lot of titles for either of those - and just because it's Year 1 for them is no excuse, even their big games have been mediocre. I judge consoles on what I can buy right now.
No innovative new IP? What an ignorant statement! Whilst Ninten...
All we know right now is it is coming for PS4 and PC.
Could be timed exclusive, as I doubt Sony could afford to pay enough to make up the loss from not releasing on XB1. But we just don't know.
We also don't know anything about the deal between Capcom and Sony. Street Fighter is a huge deal - so I'm surprised MS didn't bust out their wallet to pick this up - so maybe there's more to it than simply money.
