Wheeee, lets make everything freeeee!!!
If I had the choice between paying for something, or not paying - I'm always going to take the second option. But Sony are a business and need to make money or at least cover their expenses.
Plus, they are selling PS4's like crazy, and increasing the number of PS+ accounts - so why would they drop the fee??
Of course delayed games aren't always bad... There's two types of delayed games...
One is where the game is delayed to improve and polish it. The other is when the game is in development hell.
Unfortunately there's a growing trend in this gen where games that should have been delayed for Reason 1, are not.
I looked at one of these when I was upgrading from a rubber dome Razer Anansi to a mechanical. The Blackwidow is nice, but I ended up getting the Corsair K70 RGB with Cherry Brown keys.
The lighting isn't as bright or vivid as the Razer - but in every other way it is far better in my opinion.
I'd not recommend a Blackwidow for mechanical ahead of Ducky or Corsair.
It's not about catering to me. It's about a system that excludes anyone who can't play on a a weekend from having access.
It just seems like a really ridiculous way to do it. What is the difference between Xur selling limited goods for a whole week versus just a weekend?
Are you really implying that Bungie is intentionally limiting Xur to weekends to keep the number of exotics down?
I can live with the limited random stock, but t...
I have finally accepted and made peace with the fact that no matter how much Bungie deny Destiny being an FPS with MMORPG roots, that's what they are now making.
Story is the lowest of the low priority to them.
Bungie are only interested in end game content to retain the hardcore players who want to keep doing Raids, or who actually love the PvP and will keep buying the DLC. Or those idiot players (like me) who continue to chase the carrot on the stick t...
The more I play Destiny, the more I dislike this ridiculous Xur dude!
Only turns up on weekends. Only sells a limited amount of stuff. What a tool!
It's pretty annoying for a casual player like me who doesn't spend hours running Raids but wants some fancy looking gear. I can't always play at the weekend, and knowing the cosmic gods of luck - I guarantee he'll have something I want to buy when I can't play!
Bungie need a...
Well said.
It's a ridiculous discussion.
For me each console is looking good. 2015 looks like it's going to be a much better year for XB1 and PS4 than 2014.
So... Basically Nintendo are going to start making F2P games with IAP's on 3DS???
Slightly off topic...
Since buying a WiiU I have been really surprised by how the 1st party games are holding their value in the UK. Games like Pikmin 3, which is 18months old, is still pretty the same price now as launch for new, and resale values are only about 25-27% less.
Compare that to inFamous SS which is less than 12 months old. You can buy it new ...
I wouldn't say modern games are too hard to learn.
Although I do wonder why developers sometimes create the most ridiculous control schemes and don't allow remapping! That makes game more annoying to learn, but not harder
What a screw up by Nvidia.
However, returning these products shouldn't be an issue at all. The majority of customers in the UK would be covered by the new Consumer Contracts Regulations.
Any retailer claiming they are 'waiting for a response from Nvidia' is talking rubbish. If you are within 14 days from the day you receive the goods you can simply change your mind and return almost any goods bought online.
The only exception wou...
Well worth £13.50
Sure it was a launch title but it was also a decent FPS. Graphics I'd give a 9. Game play a solid 7. Multiplayer... Depends on preference. I always thought KZ MP was underrated.
I recently bought Ryse for £12.99. As a full price title I would have been disappointed. But like KZ:SF, as a budget title it delivers plenty of fun and good value. Graphics high 8 for the most part, Game play 6 or low 7.
Just need...
Your comment made me chuckle... I am also in my 30's and like to kid myself that I don't collect geeky crap any more... But the Jak & Daxter, and Ratchet & Clank figures sat on my desk indicate otherwise!!
I have bought a couple of Amiibo. Initially it was just curiosity at how they worked and what they added to games - but the answer to that is 'Not a lot'. So now they gather dust on the shelf, but they are well made and for a life long Nintendo fan...
The rumour I read was that originally there was a lot more story in Destiny, but close to the end of development they ripped it out for some reason.
There was a guy on NeoGaf or Reddit (can't find the link now) stating he had been brought in to write the Grimoire cards a couple of months before the game went gold.
If true, it seems to me that something happened in Bungie, a decision was made for whatever reason, that meant they stripped out or scaled back...
There's a vast difference between creating Lore, setting it the game in an intriguing world, and actually telling a Story.
I should not have to stop playing the game to fire up my Bungie account to read Grimoire cards. Yeah, they are interesting, but they are not Story - they are filling in gaps that the game is missing and providing Lore / Back-story.
Even something as simple as creating a 'Library' in the Tower where players could go to browse ...
The first thing eSports needs to do is create more national tournaments and generate mainstream recognition. Which is happening to varying degrees.
Throwing eSports in to the Olympics is not the way to do it and would probably set eSports back as it's not yet ready to be taken seriously by the mainstream public.
Did I miss the memo that it's bash Nintendo week!
I like how every negative / concerned Nintendo article starts with 'I love Nintendo'.
Considering they are so out of touch, so down and out, so bereft of third party support and make SO many missteps... Every gen, there they are, doing their thing, making varying amounts of money. The longest standing competitor making some of the best games in the world.
Hypocrisy on N4G??? Never!! :)
It's not like XB1 fans started to like Insomniac when Sunset Overdrive was announced. Or PS4 fans developed a soft spot for Bungie...

To be honest SoE has always got a lot of hate... They've been screwing up games for years!
Star Wars Galaxies is my biggest SoE regret. A phenomenal sandbox MMORPG. Then they completely destroyed it with a couple of ridiculous updates, drove away the customers and then closed it down. So sad.
I enjoyed The Old Republic and Planetside 1 for a long time though.
Not sure about Everquest Next - the beta was a bit naff.
Now,...
Unfortunately I don't think that will be the case, but I hope I'm wrong.
Investment firms want the most profit as quickly as possible.
I think this is the point where everything new SoE / Daybreak release from now on will be microtransaction / P2W / F2P stuff.
But I remain hopeful...
@abzdiine
Nintendo's naming conventions have been a little off in the last few years... Wii -> WiiU
Super 3DS would have been a much better name.
I can imagine that there will be some confusion when the average gaming consumer buys a New 3DS only game and tries to run it on their regular 3DS.
It is a nice upgrade though. I've had the Ambassador Edition for a few weeks, and the speed games load is faster, and I am...
