I think the reviewer makes some decent points. Yes, the game is visually stunning and the story/production values are top notch. That said, the game has some issues.
Whether a knock or not, there's no arguing UC4 is quite linear. For example, you can only use a grappling hook when Naughty Dog lets you. Whatever action sequences are in the game, they are typically formulaic. This doesn't mean the game is bad, it just means the experience is more or less scri...
So true Acrobattic. haha
I stopped playing the campaign 3 hours in. The gunplay was meh.
Never tried the multiplayer.
This forum should be called PS4G. If one criticizes anything Sony on this website, no matter how justified the criticism may be, they are crucified.
Face it people, sometimes Sony makes mistakes; they are not perfect. For the most part Negative420 is right, there's nothing special about this sale at all.
Nothing to write home about that's for sure. Bunch of indie crap no one really cares about. Outlast is good I guess - though it's really old. And $4.99 for Killzone? At this point, that game should be offered free to PSN users. Sony has yet to offer ANY AAA titles to PSN users; we are paying $50 a year for the service after all...
Agreed. If you don't like the criticism, don't engage in what amounts to false advertising.
I tend to agree with the review. To be completely honest, this isnt a bad article; the author does make some valid points. While I am enjoying UC4, it's nowhere near as good as TLOU. And while UC4 isnt a direct sequel to TLOU, the writer is correct in his assertion that ND set the bar extremely high with TLOU.
The graphics in UC4 are amazing, for sure, as are the characters, voice acting, production values etc. That said, I feel like the gunplay lags a fair bit behi...
I'd give TLOU a 10, and UC4 a 9. UC4's characters and story aren't quite as good or engaging as TLOU's. TLOU had quite possibly the greatest atmosphere of any game ever created. Not to mention TLOU's gunplay is flat out better in my opinion.
I cant blame ya, Ive beaten its like 4 or 5 times as well...Amazing game.
Agreed, I think the E3 version looks better - though not by a lot. E3 version has better lighting and overall softer shadows, though its color pallette is a bit muted.
I used to play COD all the time...until COD: BO II came out, then I was done. Switched over to BF4 and haven't looked back. BF games are so much more dynamic than COD - its not even close.
Dice games are far more meticulous in their crafting and originality than COD games in my opinion. On the whole, the Frostbite engine is just so much more capable.
I think a lot of gamers are just tired of the increasingly futuristic nature of COD. It seems like they try to push the "future" ante with every damn release. Enough already.
Excellent, informative technical write-up. Thanks!
Agreed, this is crap.
I think they are. It's like they want less choice from entertainment companies - not more. I don't get it. Think of the PS4K as a premium purchase within the Sony Playstation line. If you like the base model, then stick with the base model. If you want premium performance, get the PS4K. I don't see the problem, honestly.
This is literally a "hot" news story on N4g? sigh...
I love how people get all bent out of shape over what is essentially a premium item in a popular line. If you don't want to pay extra for the premium performance, no one is saying you have to.
Stop bitching and play your PS4 - it will continue to be supported for a long time.
nothing is official yet...But I have a hard time believing sony will release a new console in late 2017 that's not 4K capable. 4K TVs are now ubiquitous - you can't even find 1080P TV's at best Best Buy anymore.
4K capable GPU's will continue to fall in price too - like anything else...
I'd pay 450-550 for a new console right now, as long as it's quite a bit more powerful than PS4.
No. I said the platforming was good, just not necessarily the gunplay.
As an aside, the multiplayer isnt bad.
