please yes!
1080P/60FPS should be the target for all developers.
EA should have never released at the same time as BF1 and COD. I feel bad for Respawn.
I ordered my copy for PS4 a couple days ago. I couldn't resist, Amazon had it listed brand new for 29.99. I was shocked. Great deal!
The TV is useless without the PRO? Hmmm, a 4K TV is actually quite useful without the PRO. It called a 4K blu ray player and 4K streaming...
4K TV.
I dont have the PRO, so I cant speak to that. But, if you have the money, I would certainly recommend you upgrade to a 4K TV. I have a Samsung JS8500 and 4K blu-rays looks great! Heck, you can get the Philips 4K player for like $200 right now...thats a great deal.
I find it funny reading all the hate for this review. I mean, its literally up and down this thread. Funny thing is, if this review were to praise the PRO, sentiment on this board would be exactly the opposite. People need to chill out and stop trying their hardest to defend a piece of hardware.
Two thoughts. One, PS4 PRO looks slightly cleaner than the PS4 version. Two, native 4K PC version looks much cleaner than PS4 PRO version.
I think his prevailing sentiment was that he could see a minor difference, if he kept reminding himself that it was actually there...Otherwise, it was so minute that he would completely forget about it.
Unprofessional? LOL, this is a videogames site where any old Joe Scho can post things. I wouldnt ask too much.
I wish people would just cut the bull..."huge difference?" I mean, yes, there's a bit of a difference, but to claim its huge is flat out misleading.
Based on everything I've seen, its a marginal improvement. Hell, even the regular PS4 has even been patched to output HDR. As far as I can tell, the only benefit the PRO really provides is checkerboard 4k, which is a fancy word for upscaling. If you think that offers a dramatic improvement over 1080P games, I think you're kidding yourself.
And not every review has found the PS4 PRO to be amazing as all of you seem to claim. In fact, IGN said this in their review...
No way. TLOU was better...by a wide margin. I was honestly disappointed with Uncharted 4. The graphics were great, but I thought the gun play and enemy AI left something to be desired. Also, the utter lack of a character progression system was truly disappointing.
I played the online mode a handful of times and then moved on. Not a terrible game, but not as good as advertised.
This has been my prevailing sentiment thus far. Its hard to see the difference between a regular PS4 game at 1080p, and a Pro game at upscaled 4K. There may be a slight difference, but I think we can all agree its marginal.
10000 nits? You'd be f'ing blind if it got that bright....
no matter how you cut it...the PRO is a phased, marginal improvement over the PS4. This isnt necessarily a bad thing per say, it just is what it is.
I played TLOU with HDR last night and honestly, the difference was negligible. I thought it would be better.
This is the most ridiculous post Ive seen in weeks.
