Wholeheartedly agree with the article. The audio/visual presentation was excellent, but everything else was just flat. I didn't care about the characters, you couldn't interact with a thing and the pace was dreadfully slow. It wasn't really a game so much as it was an attempt at an interactive movie.
I stopped playing about 2/3 of the way through.

I honestly thought the game kidna sucked. The graphics were great - as was the atmosphere. Aside from that though, the gunplay couldn't have been more generic. None of the guns were particularly exciting. The pacing was horribly uneven and frustrating. Human enemies were terribly uninspired. Cut-scenes were not skippable. Ducking behind cover was often frustrating as vertical visibility was limited. Stealth missions would automatically result in a fail if you were spotted, as oppo...

fantastic? Sure, the atmosphere was good, but to call this game fantastic is kinda crazy...Look at metacritic, the game is mid 6s from both professional and amateur reviews.
maybe it was 8 hours, i don't recall exactly but I did play and beat it. To be exact, it might have been more like 4 hours of direct gameplay, and 4 hours of cutscenes/walking...either way, nothing to write home about.
The graphics were great, sure, but the gameplay was boring and uninspired. The boss fights were nothing but qte cutscenes. The game was extremely linear...it wasn't a terrible game, but it didnt even come close to matching the hype, to say otherwise ...
wish they would have fleshed out this game a bit more because the game play is actually quite good.
