I would have expected 2020 considering they have the game engine, the third person format/weapons and can reuse assets from RE2.
One thing I would ask Capcom to do is add a few more enemy types like hunters and giant spiders as RE2 remake was missing a few types from the original.
The person saying this in the article is a politician called Diane Abbott of the Labour party. Great news, definitely going to buy this game. This is a win for gamers considering all the justified negativity we had with Anthem.
Rumors had a small reveal in the middle of 2019 followed by a big reveal at PSX December 2019. That is from Reddit. Seems about right question is will small reveal take place before or after E3, I'm thinking after E3 so to see what competition is doing.
What a load of rubbish, if it was launching in June we would know they would have more trailers, promotions, more gameplay demonstrations and taking pre-orders already. Its Sony last big hurrah PS4 exclusive they will promote this game heavily with plenty of notice and snippets of gameplay to build the hype. The earliest I an see it coming out is this fall.
Capcom is back, thats 3 great games now with Monster Hunter, Resident Evil 2 and now DMC 5. Hopefully they keep the momentum going into next gen.
For gamers everywhere this is good news. this game had to fail, let me explain...This is a game deigned from a boardroom spreadsheet committee on loot and grind fest and trying so hard to be a destiny clone.
In short Microsoft told a bare faced lie, I have no sympathy for anyone who bought an Xbox thinking the cloud was actually going to come to fruition. Microsoft have been an utter let down this entire gen, I've always bought an Xbox console and competition is good for everyone but not this time.
The Xbox one reveal in 2013 had me worried, focusing on features like its a PC instead of games as it was a gaming console. They completely forgot about their core market/fans.

Absolutely stupid, just shows how old fashioned the politicians are. Europe, Japan plays as much video games as the USA if not more yet they do not have these shootings, why? well teenagers and idiots and people with mental health problems do not have easy access to handguns and semi automatic rifles.
That's the hope, fingers crossed EA gave them enough time and resources to deliver a quality game and not a quick cash grab for the Winter/Christmas market which I assume when it will be released.
I assume trailer around May then gameplay video at E3. This could be the only decent Star Wars game this gen and for a few years as I'm not sure if Disney will take the license back off EA.
Now hopefully remake the Onimusha series properly, Dino Crisis and of course Nemesis and Code Veronica.
At least don't let EA exclusively work on it, let other developers take up the mantle and develop Star Wars games. Id love if they let Sony have a crack at it, they already proved themselves with Spiderman.
On a side note it looks to be a good start to the year for Japanese gaming console wise, 3 good games already released or near it. Last gen they lost their way big time but are steadily coming back to relevance.
Hopefully Capcom does the same to Dino Crisis and Onimusha.
That's the biggest shame, I remember a time when they published/developed great games like Future Cop LAPD, Freedom Fighters, Burnout and Command & Conquer.
EA/Bioware had this great Sci Fi franchise just as good as Star Wars called Mass Effect and they royally screwed it up, maybe its for the best Bioware don't get to make KOTOR as they are not the same studio from the KOTOR/Jade Empire era and the game would suffer with microtransactions, tacked on multiplayer and more than likely gender, race and relationship controversies.
Eh why? how about the author of that article make his own game instead and quit bringing feminist politics into video games.
If you truly want to see more women in video games more females are going to have to take up related college courses in that profession or show more interest as its majority male. If you look right around the world whether its physics, engineering, maths etc its predominately male and that isn't going to change because male and female are hard wired differ...
