I agree with you nathanexplosion. I though there was plenty to play the first year especially by the end of the 2007. Warhawk, HS, R&C, COD4, and Uncharted dropped and it was good times. Add Resistance and Motorstorm and the first year was as good as you could expect for a launch console. The PS3 has just gotten better with time.
@above: Seriously?? Wow.
To each his own but I would take the XMB over the dashboard any day. I love the XMB on both my PS3 and my TV.
Fair enough but at the same time the potential is still evident in the demo. I can understand if it's not for everyone though.
It's been my definitive gaming console since 2006.
@aquanox: While you're certainly entitled to your opinion that was a trolling comment given the article it was posted in and plenty of people would disagree with you anyway.
If that's all you got out of it then you really didn't give it a chance.
Please bring this to PSN already. I've been looking forward to this game for a long time.
In that case they can render me too. Right in the middle :P
Why is this out of 360 but not for PS3 or PC? I've been waiting for this game for a while now. I can't wait to see what the SPUs can do with all those physics simulations.
Vida Guerra
Helghast would be nice to see rendered with this engine.
DMM in Star Wars games.
Not as teamwork heavy as something like Socom but generally you get worked if you just gone in lone gunslinger against the whole other team. Squads working together is encouraged much more but as always there are idiots lurking around. If you think the people playing BF and COD are the same type of crowd you are mistaken.
Thanks for clearing that up vulcan. Very good explanation. I appreciate it. Always nice to learn something new.
Where does SSAA fit in? I've heard it is better than MSAA but uses too many resources but then I've also heard that it is old now and newer implementations of MSAA are better. It is better than MLAA? Please clarify.
I do agree with your comment that small things like wires and poles as well as foliage are the most noticeable areas of aliasing to me.
I don't understand why people are mad about this. It only applies to used games in which people are cutting out the publisher from money they deserve from the game sale so in the case of 1st party games that's Sony. In return Sony goes ahead and makes back the money it lost. This seems pretty fair. If you don't like it stop buying used games and buy them new the way they should be.
You're right. PS3 is getting more and more stupid, little kids. Their squeaky little voices kill me. I remember back in 2007 and 2008 when it was still expensive and not many people had one. PSN was so enjoyable. You only had people who were serious gamers and old enough to really afford a PS3 and play for real. Those were great times on PSN. Now there are so many idiots it can really ruin the experience. I do hear XBL is worse though.
I wonder if there is a game that not a single person has the platinum for. That would be an interesting thing for Sony to release.
@gaffyh: I did the deathmatch one but not team deathmatch. I'll admit it is a great deal of luck.
I'm of the opinion that bigger is better but honestly she's a video game character and I'm more interested in the new direction they have taken with the series. I really like the way this game is shaping up.
