I agree with you there. Whatever Guerrilla makes I'll be paying attention. I would like them to try something else though because that engine they have is FULL of possibilities.
I've been wanting to play this but I wonder how it stacks up against the PC videos I've seen. If it's not awe-inspiring on consoles then I'm sure it's worth my time since I have enough shooters. I do like the open-world aspect though. I didn't think Crysis 2 was that impressive so I'm wondering if I would even like this. Tough call.
I agree with you except for collectibles. I love going around and getting the collectibles. I hate all online trophies since I generally like SP more than MP. The only ones I was ok with were the Uncharted 2 trophies where you just had to play a Co-op game and a Competitive game. Just so people can at least try it but not have to spend all their waking time on it.
@ dredge: Where are you at?
To All Above: I feel bad for you guys that are blind to what marriage is really about. I wouldn't trade my wife for anything.
^^ Open your eyes homie. You should reverse that statement.
I'm sorry you guys have had such bad experiences. I love my wife and I know she loves me and I don't regret getting married at all. I love our lives together and I am much better off than when I was single and my daughter makes things even better. You two seriously need to start screening your women better if that's all you have to say
Well said. Very well said. I read a study in the spring where they polled high school students and the most common answer for a career was "celebrity". That's just wrong on multiple levels but that's what this country is producing sadly enough. I don't blame video games for all the declines we are seeing because video games and people's time spent on them reflects this rather than causes it. It doesn't take much looking around to see how lost the young people are...
Well said Firelogic. I will take an upgrade in resolution but despite what the PC elitists say, beyond 1080p is not really necessary. Character movements have become very lifelike with the animation blending performed now. Poly counts are up and will naturally go higher with new hardware released so I don't think an huge effort is needed to increase those details.
I would much rather full destructibility and physics interactions especially for superhero games such as inFa...
Sorry to hear about the bugs. It runs beautifully on the PS3. I have spent hours playing on the last level just having fun with it. The physics in this game and the natural phenomena are all really incredible to watch.
Glad they released it on PS3 now. I've played it for a couple hours now and I'm loving it. So much amusement without even getting to the objective at hand.
I would switch #1 and #2. inFamous was the best superhero game I've ever played. I was the first where I actually felt like a superhero and the world fit the character really well and the powers were developed as they should have been. All the others really felt like stripped down superheroes to me but to each his own.
Pikajew Gears is not original; at least not any more so than Uncharted. Portal didn't start in this generation. Alan Wake isn't a series (yet?) and while to each his own, Uncharted 1 & 2 as games and a series have more awards than the combined awards from all the games you listed. So while YOU might like some games more be careful saying they are "better".
To answer your question, MS threw money at them so it would be part of the Summer Arcade and Summer Arcade games have to wait at least 4 weeks before release on PS3. Hopefully the devs have used that time to improve the game but I doubt it.
I've seen videos of people playing and it looks too good for me to pass on. I think the controls will get easier when you get used to it and I've been dealing with dumb AI since I started playing video games. Even without tackling the actual game it looks like I can have fun with this game for hours. I'm definitely picking this up.
They can update the XMB but I hope they don't do away with it. It's very simple and easy to use. Any in-game delay is not a fault of the XMB itself. As an interface it is very user-friendly. They just need to tweak it a little for faster in game loading.
Definitely some good stuff but I'm disappointed there's no From Dust. I've been looking forward to that game and I've heard possibly in September since it's been more than a month since the summer arcade release. Anybody know anything about its release date on PSN?
I really want this to come to PS3 soon. I have been looking forward to it and on consoles there's no DRM nonsense. I wish it ran better on PC and that Ubi didn't screw it up but my PC can't run it anyway so here's hoping for a soon PS3 release.
Sorry you had such a problem with it newn4gguy. I don't remember if it was good or evil I found all the shards on but I remember I was only missing 5 or so by the end because I tend to be pretty meticulous when I play games especially games I love. I just systematically went section by section and found the last few shards very easily.
That was a great list. just Cause 2 was excellent and Lego Star Wars and Wolverine were really fun too. I haven't played Batman AA yet but its reputation speaks for itself. I think I will pass on the Hannah Montana game though.
It is so tempting but I'm holding out until the game. I held out for UC2 so I can do it for this one too. Man it's hard though. 11/1 is getting close though.
