This is definitely inexcusable and I expect more from DICE also. On a side note though I love playing against bots and don't know why more games don't offer them. My step-dad and I still play against bots on the original Killzone and Killzone 2. There is a place for both because there are times when playing with human douches just sucks.
I've always wondered about team fortress 2 because of good things I've heard about it but I never tried it. After watching that video I'm pretty sure I won't like it. Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like just a frenzy-paced chaotic shooter similar to UT3 but with poor graphics and lack of nice guns. Is there any objectives or strategic gameplay or is it really just run around everywhere shooting randomly at whatever moves?

Gotta agree with Tanir. Women are naturally more pleasing to the eye whether in real life or in games so I'm more inclined to choose them over males. Both are fun to use though and switching between male/female provides a good change of pace.
I never liked Zelda and only briefly skimmed the article but saying no game will compare to it is pretty ridiculous.

Not sure getting them hooked on video games is the answer as the average gamer I come into contact with online is no scholar. Being an American I can definitely tell you that as a society we are breeding more idiots by the day with faltering school systems not helping anything. Even Universities seem to be catering to people's growing ignorance with watered-down material. With that being said more power to women and men who want to educate themselves and reach higher.

I don't like the whole 3D thing going around but I don't think it's a fad. I remember it FADing out when I was younger with those red/blue cardboard glasses but now I think it's here to stay. Somehow though I don't think it's good for the eyes and brain to have 3D with the amount of time spent on TV/video gaming that people are doing now. Wonder if there are any long-term effects of altering the visual perception like that.

It's true that no game is perfect and little things are found here and there but you have to admit that COD is NOTORIOUS for glitches and cheaters. More so than any other console game I've seen or played. While yes UC3 may have little things here and there Naughty Dog is constantly pushing their engine while COD is still pretty much the same from COD4 in 2007. You would think with few improvements made they would have eliminated most of this stuff or at least improved their QA methods...
COD definitely has its faults and I don't care for the MP especially after playing the Battlefield BC games and hopefully soon Battlefield 3 but I must say the Spec Ops portion is great fun. I had a chance to play MW3 with my brother-in-law over the weekend and went in expecting to dislike the experience but we actually had a blast with co-op. Can't speak for the rest of the game but the Spec Ops redeemed COD a little for me.
@mendicant: Link wasn't riding the horse alternating between guns and jumping onto and off of moving vehicles with multiple enemy gunfire and engaging in fist fights on said moving vehicles then back onto his horse to chase the other vehicles all the while experiencing elevation and terrain changes.

UC2 was non-stop action and UC3 was a little more toned down but I appreciated that too. I love both games for what they offer and really liked the little bit slower pacing of UC3.
@ death2smoochie: There is a difference you are missing. Originally the 360 and PS3 were going to be released at the same time. Sony held back a year due to R&D and supposedly implementing the RSX since the CELL didn't work out as a GPU while 360 is considered "rushed" which brought us the RROD. Their lack of R&D, which should have put it at around the same release as the PS3, makes a difference.
