Its bittersweet for Sony when a PS3 is sold because its still losing money from it. Yes usually gaming consoles are sold in a loss and companies make their money back from software/peripherals and such but Sony's games aren't selling either. So its a good thing however that the PS2 and PSP are still selling for Sony.
I dont see Sony getting out of the game software business but I do see them getting out of the hardware business for now.. The PS3 has costed them quite a bit of money from R&D and still now with the manufacturing. Add on its dismal sales compared to its competition Sony is on track on becoming the next Sega. If it wasn't for the PS2 and PSP still selling Sony's gaming division would've been cut out by now. Its a good thing for Sony that people are still buying PS2 but a bad thing as well...
the best deal to date for the 360 is the sonyrewards card. Make a $299 and up purchase and get a $150 credit. Purchase had to be made at an authrized dealer like best buy or circuit city.
So 60gb 360 $299-$150= $150 for a 60gb 360!
MGS4 is not my cup of tea. I would rather play games instead of watch so i'm really not missing much but i'm pretty sure there are a lot of 360 owners who would like to have the game.
I can wait 15-20 minutes for game installs but would perfer the 30 seconds it takes to switch disks and as far over using your discs never heard that before. I played Gears 1,cod 4 and now gears 2 and never had the problem you just described!
I'll take 3 discs instead of mandatory installs. Thanks M$ for putting gamers first instead of trying to stuff a movie format down our throat!

Yes this was a VHS company but why can't sony just convert them to do blu ray? Its probably because they didn't have the funds to buy new equipment. Sony is struggling right now. I've been reading alot of talk from them about not caring how much their consoles sold or how much the software sales as long as Sony keeps the game coming. Hopefully you guys do know that if the PS3 flops there might not be PS4 or KZ3 or LBP2 with the way Sony is struggling right now as a company. So you guys better care more if your console doesn't sell or if the game doesn't sell. You should do what you can to get people buying the PS3. Start buying it as gifts because Sony really needs it...
