For someone who seems to disapprove of Trans individuals you seem to have put a lot of study in them. I believe transgender individuals have higher risk of suicide due to the hate they're given by their peers.

The way I see it is if someone is born one gender, and decides they want to go though the risk and trouble of becoming another both emotionally and physically I don't see why not as long as they aren't effecting me in some negative way.

If the game developer comes out with a good game that involved a transgender character then so be it. Or if the game revolves around the character's gender in some meaningful way, like to tell a story or something.

It's understandable but it's also a bit much, every other article about "WHATS WRONG WITH MASS EFFECT!"

So you mean to tell me you pick out one side quest in a beginning area, and suddenly it defines all the quest in the game right?

Alright buddy.

While I respect the author and I have no issue with her voicing her opinions on the topic and even acknowledge that maybe she saw a part of the game, I didn't see as a male who wasn't really looking for women bashing dialogue or something I can understand where she's coming from in a sense.

But at the same time, I also acknowledge there's a lot of games that actually allow you to play as women, and don't really make a big deal out of it.

Her issue is that she feels like in a game where the woman is the protagonist she still feels like they're still having to deal with the issues and negative view/treatment of women in modern day society.

I don't think she's saying she want to change the game in any meaningful way to make it less enjoyable, I think if she had her way she'd probably make it so most of the male characters would be less sexist, or something. It's not really a social agenda a...

I would argue that both men and women have unfair benefits, a lot of men can safely go places women can't alone, women can freely express themselves without being seen as weird, men can be with as many women as they want and not be judged, while women get shunned for it. These are just some examples.

I think we both need to treat each other with respect, i've had women hold doors open for me if they're in front of me and i'm carrying stuff, and men as well, ...

I agree with you on your first point, she doesn't speak for all women. On you second point about where all the rapist slave traders are or that she made it up, I disagree, when I played I didn't sit around listening to slave traders i mostly killed them off instantly, but for all we know she personally may have heard this dialogue in the game and it bothered her, so to chalk her point up to her being crazy due to some books we aren't sure she read or not, seems lame, we don't...

I want to comment something more than "I don't care" on this article, and I hope people are willing to have legitimate discussion with me. I'm a straight male, but I try to keep my mind open enough to see things from other points of view. And that means more than labeling everyone "PC" or a "SJW" then acting like you made some point.

I think there's discussion to be had about this, and Polygon is not wrong for talking about it, if g...

I agree, one of the best games of the year, "near perfect" is right, I love the game, but there's little frustrations that hold it back for me.

We've known this for a while now...?

Maybe it's not so much of the games, perhaps it's just an age thing, i'm 25 going on 26 and when I was 15 I used to play Halo 3 and all that a whole lot for hours on in, but now i don't have time for it so I mostly focus on single player games that are meaningful experiences that I can take my time in.

I occasionally play Overwatch or Rocket League just for the pure fun aspect of them but i'm really hesitant to play online games that require a lot of ti...

Siege, For Honor, Child of Light, Grow Home, and then some are some of their pretty good games, I'll agree with their launch issues, but their games are far from repetitive and boring when when they aren't open world and really put love into their work.

I disagree, they're one of the few companies who are willing to take risk outside of Assassin's Creed, like Rayman, Child of Light, For Honor, Siege, and then some. As Pixel said, servers and bugs plague their games.

I think it's usually:

1) Uplay, people don't want to have to use 2 types of DRM (Steam and Uplay on PC) or have their game libraries divided.

2. Server issues, for some reason a lot of Ubisoft games have so many server issues it's disappointing, I remember I bought Siege and I couldn't even play it for a week or two because it had issues where it would freeze after every game.

3. Bugs, just bugs, bugs, and bugs, it...
