@ShaunCameron I disagree with you, it's kinda tiring to see people assume gamers are all the same because they play a certain platform, just because the majority may not like a certain type of game, it doesn't mean that everyone on that platform wouldn't be interested. One of the most beloved JRPG's known as "Lost Oddesy" was on the Xbox 360. And the Shin Megami Tensei mainline series continues to do decent enough on the 3DS that they keep making sequels for it and p...
I don't think games like Persona 5 should be exclusive, I would love to see the series come to PC honestly, the game played in 60FPS and then some or with mods or something.
Also I would like to see it come to the Switch even, it seems Shin Megami Tensei series is exclusive to Nintendo while the Persona series is exclusive to Sony which is a bit of a let down for someone who may be interested in both but only has one or the other.
I disagree, i'd prefer it to be a console war, anyone console maker becomes the monopoly and it's bad news for the gamer, competition is healthy and breeds innovation. It makes developers push themselves to make better platforms for play since they know they can potentially be 1-up'd
Well from a Technical standpoint, neither is the PS4 or Xbox One, it seems like all 3 consoles are kinda getting a mid cycle upgrade from their counterparts. I guess 2017 is the beginning of the console wars: part 2
I don't think it was rushed, I think it just needs time to get it's feet on the ground, I mean the system hasn't even been released and we're seeing 20+ articles a day saying bad things about it before anyone in the general public has even had a chance to get some time with it.
The biggest game is a Wii U port, and the games made from the ground up for it aren't out till later on in the Spring to Winter, I think this device needs time to have actually pe...
I think it actually does matter, there could be alot of devs working for Switch games that don't attend GDC, and this doesn't mean they won't eventually support it, considering when they took the survey for the Wii U it was probably when Nintendo was prepping for Switch, and now the Switch hasn't even been out at all or cracked open for devs to really decide to work on games for it.
Yes these are stats, but they're stats that can change within a year'...
I don't want to cause an argument, but this is inaccurate, the top photo shoes the portal being activated, the bottom one shoes it after it's been activated so there's no lighting or sparks.
I think it's a shame so many people have made up their mind to bash the Switch based on 2 screenshots. Also have we gotten any word on the official specs of the Switch?
@badz149 He's right, but he explained it poorly, the controller is probably pricey due to the tech that comes with it, NFC, Gyroscope, Accelerometor, HD Rumble, Blutooth capability and then some.
This article seems a bit overly negative to me, as far as i'm concerned the only thing i'll be paying for is Zelda and the Switch itself. And Zelda will be only $47 with the amazon discount.
The rest of the joycons and the dock and what not seem to be just replacements to me, like who would realistically lose their dock if it should always be at their home?
I doubt the need for extra joycons will come into play unless you have kids or something. ...
Besides Color Splash and Zelda most of those were made by third party but published by Nintendo I believe, if you're going to post scores you have to post the scores of the 3DS games as well which did quite well holding up against even consoles.
Seeing as Nintendo is combining their 3DS and Wii U efforts and putting it all into this, I expect more quality games now that the teams are communicating now.
Dang all these articles, first the Switch is the next Wii U, then the Switch is the gamecube, now the Switch is Vita 2.0. But to answer your question no, memory card prices won't be out the roof, and it will actually be supported by Nintendo.
This is exactly why it's ridiculous to bash the Switch based on it's launch titles, all 3 consoles had mediocre launch line ups, the best we can do as gamers is wait and see, not point jumping the gun and hating on something that hasn't even been proven.
I think it's too early to tell, we can all sit here and bash the Switch based on first impressions but absolutely none of us have really got to spend time with the device.
I mean it's easy enough to just throw something under the bus, but it's another thing to spend time with it and experience it.
I say ask this question in a year, and let the Switch be it's own thing.

Well to be fair, the 3DS also has a fair amount of JRPG's a huge one if you include Pokemon.

But that's just my assumption.

But that implies I want 1,2 Switch or that I want a pro controller, and that I won't get it on Amazon or Best Buy for $47 with their discount.

But it's not a console it's a handheld/
It's $47 with amazon prime.
Oh look another opinion piece bashing the Switch, what a shocker.
He means internal memory.
