Amen, the writer seems to love the abuse. Personally i'd prefer it 1 or 2 ways to unlock items.
1. Unlock items at a certain level. This way you're not lvl ranked 100+ still getting the skins you got rank 1.
2. Directly be able to pay for the items if you're not patient enough to just put in time for the game, as long as it's cosmetic it doesn't matter what you blow your cash on.

These "jokes" aren't really that funny, and usually just waste people's time.
I think this would be better as maybe DLC or something. Personally I feel like this would be a bit of a letdown as I was hoping to see what happened after the events of the last game, or perhaps another story revolving around another youth with powers similar to Max.

If Nintendo treat it the way they treated the 3DS then yes, they possibly can. Switch seem like the perfect as a hybrid to have a mix of AAA games mostly from Nintendo and Japanese companies, and quality high quality indie gems along with more portable entries.
Nintendo seem comfortable making the Switch the best secondary platform it an be similar to the 3DS and there's nothing wrong with that, I play my 3DS more than my PS4 honestly.

As i stated I respect the guy's opinion and he's entitled to have it but it sounds like he probably fiddled with the motion control playstyle and didn't find much enjoyment out of it. And then he found matches with new players, which is to be expected as this is a 1 hour beta, and for a lot of people, it's their first time playing so don't expect them to go flying around the map knowing how each arm works right away and the best method to take down your dude.
I consider myself a very moderate individual but it's lame to see both sides acting so shitty about this game. Video game plots in general aren't really all that unique, I can mention a game where you save the world in the end and have a happy ending and that's all good and great, but the real substance is what they do inside that world with that plot to twist it into something either unique and fresh, or just outright enjoyable for player.
I know people bash Ubisoft for things like Uplay and Assassin's Creed, but beyond those they take pretty big risk, they've got big games like Far Cry, For Honor, and Rainbow Six Siege each providing unique experiences, with the last 2 creating a high skill ceiling that's even gained a dedicated following.
Meanwhile, they're not afraid to fund games like Rayman Legends, Child of Light, Grow Home, STEEP, and then some. I mean sure they throw dumb micro transac...
