Probably because the technology just wasn't there and no one really had interest in doing so. But today in the busy time we live in where people are often out and about but also want to sit down and game, the Switch makes it so they don't have to compromise.

While I know the defense will be "but it's not as powerful" I don't think it really needs to be though, if you wanted to play those games you listed you can at home. The Switch is for people wh...

First off, this article has nothing to do with sales, the Wii one the last generation whether or not anyone wants to admit it. The assumption that Wii owners only bought Wii sports like games is embarrassing and assumptions and oversimplification like that makes me cringe. Your unwillingness to acknowledge that the Wii had some true gems and stand out games (yes even non mario ones) doesn't mean that that's all people played.

You talk about how Xbox and PS4 cater to...

Oh boy complimenting anyone other than Sony on this site will get the fanboys out in droves. I respect your opinion, brace yourself for talk of exclusives, and sales figures.

I feel like Nintendo is both genius and foolish, honestly sometimes it feels like there's two people steering the ship. There's Nintendo that legitimately wants to be innovative, create new products, consoles, games with lots of love. Then there's the Nintendo that steps on it's own fee...

Actually the Amazon Prime deal last up to 2 weeks after the game's release.

I think what people seem to be missing is that fact that Stardock has only made games for PC, so regardless of Switch, PS4, or Xbox One they probably wouldn't support consoles in general.

If you're trying to avoid spoilers don't put it in the same line of text with the rest of your post, and Goro himself isn't a spoiler, he's on the front cover.

That said, it would be interesting to see a version of Persona 5 or some kind of DLC where you play things though Akechi's perspective.

DQ Heroes isn't PS4 exclusive, and you don't need to brag about the PS4 library every other post, we get it, you like the PS4 and it has exclusives, give it a rest and go actually PLAY on the system you love so much.

It feels like you copied and pasted that comment, which is weird considering it doesn't really have to do with the article, and some of the games you listed aren't PS4 exclusive.

I disagree, I still think turn based RPG's are pretty niche, Persona has been around for decades and is STILL considered niche, simply because unlike Final Fantasy it isn't mainstream, i'm hoping that in time JRPG devs or devs in general would look towards games like Persona 5 as their influences vs games like Final Fantasy 15, which while good in it's own right had a lot of issues and seemed to be rushed to the point where an entire story chapter had to be added, and new feat...

What exactly do you have against a deep turn based RPG with a great story, style, gameplay, and fully realized characters that actually feed back into the gameplay?

Persona 5 is EXACTLY what the next FFVII needs to be, something meaningful and memorable that will refine what makes JRPG's great, and hopefully ridding the genre of the tropes that plague it, all while building upon the established lore and good gameplay systems that made the past game(s) memorable.

I don't think PC's were that impressive back then compared to consoles at least.

Right? I'm getting tired of seeing all these negative articles about the game, like yeah the game has issues, the biggest ones being it's animation but that doesn't mean it deserves to be trashed daily.

I see worst games that get little to no attention on this site. No Man's Sky was a worst offender than Mass Effect: Andromeda and it barely gets as much hate as this game does.

Potential can only get you so far, we all have potential doesn't mean we do much with it, I look forward to the Switch but i'd like to see some games developed specifically for it that will take advantage of the tech as limited as it may be.

You say it's gamers just discussing games, but a lot of times it seems more like gamers unwilling to give credit where it's due. Yes we know PS4 has more exclusives, and it sells well, and that's great but the discussion is about Scorpio.

3208d ago 4 agree3 disagreeView comment

If you aren't convinced by Scorpio then it is more you being willingly ignorant than Scorpio being unable to be viable. The only thing Xbox is lagging behind at this point is games, honestly if they can secure some amazing exclusive titles, the rest will come into place.

Yes, absolutely, like almost anything in the world. Food is addicting, sex is addicting, spending is addicting, when I was working I found myself buying games, I didn't even like or I know I didn't have time to play. I think gaming is addictive but literally everything in the world, you have to learn to put the controller down.

I think the issue is that they're already planning on selling DLC before the game is even out the gate and polished up, meaning that the game won't be at it's peak quality because there will surely be content held back to fill up the expansions and season pass.

I don't think many games have pushed the Switch to it's limits yet, you talk about Nintendo's third party support then when people talk about bringing third part support you bash Nintendo for not having it in the first place. To get third party support you have to start somewhere.

3213d ago 14 agree69 disagreeView comment

At the risk of sounding cynical all the hype behind it seemed too good to be true, I feel like this is going to be the No Man's Sky of crowdfunding, but honestly i'd love to be wrong.

3214d ago 20 agree5 disagreeView comment

You have to think about it, this is almost Nintendo's fault, if they did a better job moving units and keeping items in stock then scalpers wouldn't feel so inclined to buy up the whole stock because they know Nintendo will keep the items stocked often.

While they now may be stocking Switch consoles as fast as they can, they're getting what they deserve considering how they treated amiibo, nes classic edition, any limited editions, and then some.
