How'd we get to Kingdom Hearts 4 without even getting 3 out?
I think this E3 was very safe, and respectable, a lot of games were shown and announced, if you tempter your expectations, you'll notice E3 is more than what the conferences show. If you ask me the real winners here are the gamers, and third party games in general, if anything it makes us realize how important they are to all platforms.
Really? Ghost of Tushima kinda looks like Witcher 3, in a Japanese setting and a bit more vertical gameplay.
Keep in mind that E3 is more than just the conferences, there's still a lot to see and to be announced, even if the conferences weren't all that.
That said, Sony is showing off their games, so perhaps the actual conference was a let down, but their presence at E3 still seems to be pretty pleasant, considering.
I think Micosoft is "winning" so far, with all due respect to the other companies as far as surprises goes, Sony didn't really show us much anything we didn't really know about except for a couple games. I loved what they did show, Last of Us, Spiderman, Resident Evil 2, and more were all great, but I could've done without the intermissions killing my immersion, or filling time with musicians for seemingly no reason other than just to pad out time.
If ...
Spoke too soon.
It really was, it was basically a montage of games, nothing more, nothing less. Really disappointed.
Do they really need to wait to tell if it was bad?
Show is better than expected.
It's actually pretty good compared to last year.
@Ziv I think you under estimate the impact that the casual audience can have, for families, kids, and just the general audience just seeing a Pokemon game in HD is enough to sell a lot of units.
The Switch isn't even competing with PS4, Nintendo is basically in their own realm for better or worst.
Honestly, it felt really lazy to me.
You mean typical any company ever? If they have the money, and want the talent, it makes sense and it's mutually beneficial to both parties, the talent gets a reliable partner and income, and the company secures exclusives, and talent.
You sound ignorant imo.
Thank you captain obvious.
While I obviously can't speak for anyone else. I think the show in general was pretty good, the confidence that was shown, along with a wealth of new games announced were really great, sure they're going to be on the other platforms, but judging the conference alone on what was shown on it's own, I enjoyed it.
I don't get why people keep trying to throw XBOX under the bus, there's nothing wrong with admitting it was entertaining. It's okay to enjoy s...
Say what you will, but it was an entertaining show at the end of the day.
Why can't we just enjoy both? They seem like two very different games.
Really? At least Ubisoft showed some games Square's conference was literally a montage of games back to back, the hardest working person at their conference was probably the dude who had to hit "play" in the AV room.
