Perhaps the people who visit this site are too young to remember but the exact same thing was said about XP for quite a while after it came out. It really only came into it's own shortly after SP1 was released.
But I suppose it's easier to complain than to actually think. *shrug*
Generally speaking, you really never should upgrade your OS alone. You should just wait till you buy/make a new computer.

Just come by daily and you will see at least...
1) (insert number) reasons why the PS3/360 will do good this year
2) Same as one except, why it will fail this year.
3) Random HD movie article stating BR has won the disc war.
4) Why Live is better than PSN
5) WHy PSN is better than Live
And so on and so on. It's really quite sad.
To late...since last summer the number of "my system is better than yours'" has sadly been on the rise. For one reason or another.
Joystiq has a decent comment fan base if your looking for a more game centric vs system centric point of view. Well at least the fanboys are fewer.

Why convert? Both games are different enough that there should be no reason that you would have to "convert." Just play both, if you have a 360 that is.
Umm a 5 year console life has been the norm for some time though the PS2 went on for 7, would had been 6 had it not been for the delay that the BR caused. So say the next Xbox does come out in 11 which at this point is just a wild guess, that would indeed stick to the normal time frame. Also around that 5 year mark is when the tech. of the system system begins to really show it's age. Really? That movie did nothing to even come close to scaring me. The only movies that have got me shaken where the original Amityville and The Relic.
I see. routers *can* be a real pain to install sometimes. But for whatever reason Vista(which is what I have) does all of the configuration for you including security. And by everything I mean I just did a reformat and after all the drivers where installed the router was already set up security and all ready to go. Just a thought. :)
For a review his computer is fairly middle-low end.
Personally I have a e6750,8800GTS,2 gigs, MSI P6N. Which is all fairly middle road except for the video card which I would call upper middle end.
With this set up I can easily run high settings with 3 options on very high. All that staying in the 30+ range. In any event I thought it was a great game. Kind of short, but meh.
I didn't even know they made one with only one output. Doing so would seem to defeat the purpose of the device.

Hah! 2142 has been so buggy for so long. I love the game to death but my god all things that can go wrong boggles my eyes.
Perhaps as long as the cable input went into the PS3 first via a port on the PS3 itself or another attachment. You would also need some sort
software(non-firmware related despite what a lot of people think a firmware update does not solve everything) through either a disc or online. And then maybe, but I don't know the details of how they got it to work with the TV in the first place so their might be some extra hardware involved that is not know.

So you miss out on some bonus material, big deal either pay for the 360 just live without it. No one is, as you said, barricading your experience since your getting the exact same game that the 360 users are getting. They are just getting a little extra, at the coin of MS, some months after the game is released. It just happens to be a perk for this game on 360 system. Nothing else.

Sadly no, a simple firmware update will do nothing to improve your TV viewing. For that to work the PS3 would somehow have to over ride the TV and blah blah blah.
I suppose that it's possible if you hacked the TV and then got a PS3 update but that seems very unlikely.
Mark my words their will soon come a point where real is to real. I mean really who wants to see photo realistic brains fly out whenever you shoot someone in the head...
