You're really trying to compare the functionally of a laptop to the indulgence of another human being? Thats just well disturbing.
The lack of internal optical drive is one of the main killer for me. One of the joys of a laptop is being able to take it anywhere and watch a DVD. Of course you could by the add on drive, but then that would add extra weight and create the annoyance of having a little wire sticking out, which wouldn't be to ideal for say on an airplane.
Then the fact that that it uses N instead of the more common standard G. While there is nothing wrong with N, if fact it's what we will probabl...
So you prefer style of functionality, fair enough.
I bet retailers all over the world love you...
Sadly, no it wouldn't. While Crysis is no slouch when it comes to processing power the bottle neck of the game comes from the video card. You could have a CPU with 200GHz and it wouldn't make the game run any better, well visually speaking. Currently there is nothing on the market that can run the game on full setting. Perhaps a couple of the new 9 series but definitely not the 8 series.
Still nifty they got it to run that high.
Hello World? Nah I would hope the would put something more appropriate up such as, All Your base are belong to us. You know, something with a bit more zing than the all to familiar Hello World
So it has a larger memory footprint and is slower... Well you can easily look up and find that Vista is on the same level speed wise as XP, slower in some areas, faster than other. Heck I'll do it for you

As for the memory, what really? A newer program which has more bells and whistles uses more memory? By God the horror!!!!

Ahh good old heap overflow... Crashed many a computers while learning C with that error.
Umm most BR movies are just 25 gigs. Except for the nice long 3+hour ones.
Also pretty much any HD movie can be compressed to fit onto a double sided DVD. But for downloading purpose, they are usually compressed to around 15 gigs or so.
As for the games, there is no reason at all that you would download then in some sort of compressed formate.
That said, it would still take a few days to download but that of course depends entirely on your connection sp...
Not really surprising, you could do the same thing with almost anything somewhat new.
People all to often spend time complaining about how a game has "X" bug or only runs at "X" resolution and choose to complain about why these problems exist. When the simple fact of the matter is that game development is hard, very very hard. That combined with average pay for extremely long hours and little to no job security, it's no wonder the field is very limited. I can't count the number of CS(Computer Science) majors change their degree plan once they make it past t...
You people make me giggle.

Worked when I used XP, also works with Vista. The only game I had that didn't work with Vista right off the bat was Sacrifice which took some tweaking to get it to work.
Accord to the two links, the first being the most reputable, it shows that Vista is only slightly slower than XP in some cases, and in other slightly fast. So is it some fantastic new OS thats going to boost your system speed. No, not really, but it wont slow it down either...

No kidding, I would love to see what those things can do.
Ohh a disagree, someone must not know their software or just offended by being wrong. *shrug*
