They both look very similar, too bad the PlayStation 3 version is missing normal maps on the terrain and has some half resolution textures. I don't know, I might still pick it up on the PlayStation 3...

From the Lens of Truth site in regards to this:

"Your TV is a huge factor on how the image is reproduced. The same thing can be said about your computer monitor. Just remember, the screen shots you see here are captured directly from the PS3/Xbox 360. Each screen shot is exactly what was output (minus some jpeg compression)from the console, however the image will be displayed different from monitor to monitor."

The TV is only used for monitoring when you do video captures. All video is routed directly from the PS3/Xbox 360 into the capture card. So what you are seeing is exactly what the system is outputting.

Did you not read, look at the pictures or watch the video. They gave it a tie graphically. While they aren't 100% identical (sharpness on 3D assets)they are so close it isn't worth mentioning.

The reviewer even said he would buy it on the PS3...

" Tie! The characters are a perfect one to one match down to the pixel. PlayStation 3’s backgrounds look slightly blurry due to the more aggressive mipmapping, but overall there is no texture quality downsizing."

They are saying the characters are the exact same clarity between the PS3 and Xbox 360, but the backgrounds on the PS3 are slightly blurry. They are overlooking the slight softness of the PS3 since the textures are the same physical resolution, just being filte...

It might just be psychological, but I feel more at home playing fighters the way they were meant to be played in the arcade. Sticks just feel more natural and responsive.

Good point... I have to agree with you. I would use the PS3 for fighters and the Xbox 360 for FPS's anyday.

I picked this one up on my 360, mainly for the Live play. If it weren't for my SF4 Mad Cats controllers I wouldn't be having so much fun. I agree, the PS3's controller is king.

I rented this one and it was a blast to play. I will probably pick it up when the price is right.

....sigh....

The Ghostbusters thing again. It amazes me how uninformed some users are on this site. Lens of Truth's findings were confirmed by Eurogamer/Digital Foundry, Beyond3D, Kotaku, Joystiq, Ars Technica and to some extent even the developers.

Time to move on...

Wow....wrong again. That flowchart shows their component capture process, which was part of the Ghostbusters Allegations post. They have recently switched to HDMI and Call of Juarez is the second capture to use it. You can find the new flowchart on their "About Us" section.

First off, they are capturing in HDMI for Call of Juarez. So there goes that theory. And secondly, it isn't fair to compare consoles to PC. A PC is scalable in terms of hardware whereas a console isn't. If I took this game and played it on all the machines in our lab the results would be different on each system. So which one should be the benchmark?

6175d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Maybe you should do more research before calling out their methods. It has been confirmed many times that the Xbox 360 version has slight letterboxing. No flaw here....move on.

Here is proof from Beyond3D:

well, seeing how the colors and contrast are matching the xbox 360 version I would say yes.

It's very hard to see the differences between these two games. Looks like the xbox 360 version has the bloom a little higher. Do we know if this was captured via HDMI?

Also would like to have seen some additional levels.

Congrats on the shipped game! It is a shame when developers just want to get a game out for the sake of a game. Transformers could be such an awesome IP for a AAA game. Too bad they always have to tie them into the movies.

I took a look at your deviant art page, did you do concept work for Transformers?

Not sure why the Lens of Truth is on your nerves. They gave you guys a compliment on the development of the game. Not to mention it sounds like they take your stance ...

Where is Mai!!!!! This kills me as she was one of my favorite characters since the days of Fatal Fury 2. Me bouncy! How I will miss that.

Sad thing is that SNK knows fans will buy DLC if it has Mai. Cha-ching!

yeah, while it may not be the most technical or even a great game, it is nice to see them at least keep the quality the same on both platforms. I was thinking this game was going to be a disaster.

6191d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

man, that's awesome that you guys got the movie first. I can't wait for this film. Gonna be a blast!

You mean their "bogus" Ghostbusters comparison that was confirmed to be accurate by Kotaku, Joystiq, and Eurogamer/Digital Foundry.

Being called out and proven correct was the best thing that could ever happen to the Lens of Truth.

And I agree...time to move on from Ghostbusters.
