The Ps4 could release with any hit sequel by making it easy for developers to make games on it.
This could be done by making the Ps4 just an improved Ps3 with a ton of RAM, better game OS, Move + Nav as standard controller and priced around $300. Also, 1920x1080 resolution, 60 fps, and 3D should be also easy to implement in all games.
Then Sony will have a winner....plus awesome release games.
Dont' forget that EA brought us Bad Company 2...no need for MW2.
But why haven't they done a multiplat version/Copy of Gears or Halo?
Absolutely true
The xbox 360 has done well with the year head-start with no competition, plus the gaming experience it has delievered
The xbox360 would have even done better had the had no RROD and other h/w quality issues.
Microsoft won't make that mistake again. The new slim 360 shows how they can improve their h/w if they put their mind to it. Plus the new xbox will likely have a proper motion controller + kinect + Bluray

I just want to use a Move controller for aiming in shooters....and if KZ3 was ever going to utilized the Move, then GG had to improve the controls.
As for weighty feel: how often do many gamers ignore what Epic did with the controls for Gears? Often. Gears has weighty feel...hell yeah...but still fast aiming....no controller lag.
Warhawk 2......not so much Starhawk unless its like Starwars BF2 or better.
Warhawk 2, with a SP, campaign coop, more realistic environments, vehicles, weapons AND bots...would be easily more enjoyable than BFBC2, MW2 or Halo. Especially if they made it 32 vs 32 MP.
I like the simplicity of Warhawk.....no match making here, just list the games you want, then join.
No they haven't
Rico still needs to be killed off
I don't care for coop
I just what to freely use the vehicles in SP & MP....now that would be truly awesome.
If I wanted a realistic "Modern Combat" game, I play BC2....with its standard controls.
If I wanted a simple scifi shooter, I play Halo3...with its standard controls
If I wanted a different scifi shooter with a large variety of weapons and large mp, I play Reistance 2...with its standard controls
If I wanted a gritter scifi shooter, I play Gears2 with its standard controls.
etc, etc.
KZ2 should have...
Another over reaction from PRO-weighty control fanboys....with their typical disdain for CoD twitch controls.
No critic of KZ2 controls are advocating twitch controls of UT3 or CoD. We only want no lag or responsive controls like most shooters have.
To have similar controls doesn't make one shooter the same as another. Last thing I heard, MW2 is not Halo 3, is not KZ3, is not Resistance2, is not MAG, is not BC2, is not Gears 2, is not Deep Space, is not ...
Obsolutely true
Warhawk is the the best MP game on a console
Epic battles with pro 16 vs 16 on the largest maps
Warhawk is simply the best mp fun you can have on a console....easily better than Halo, MW1or2, BF1or2, Resistance, KZ2. And yet most gamers continue to ignore it for those other games.
If Warhawk had the same combat uniforms, environments, vehicles and weapons of BC and MW plus a simple SP mode, and been a FPS, it would have destroyed Halo and MW franchise as the best online shooter.
Sony must not give the competition a head start.
Motion control, HD gaming, are here to stay and 3D has potential.
Sony already has all three.
So all it has to do is release a Ps3 Evolution....with all of the above, a better Cell processor, double the RAM and with a $250 -300 price tag. It will easily compete with the 720 or Wii2.
If it has higher and better 'specs' and only costs around $200 then I'll buy one straight off....and I'm a Sony fanboy.
I'd gladly buy a $300 Ps3 every 3-4 years if they doubled the memory, improved the game OS & features, reduced the heat and energy consumption of the Cell and GPU.
Think of it as upgrading your PC and Windows every 4 years, but with the price being relatively cheaper.
Apple has the best mobile OS .... & PC OS...with Mac OS X.
Sony should copy Apple and make their own OS based on OpenBSD and put it in the consoles, PCs, and Laptops....just like Apple has done with its products.
The advantages of having one OS for all its products are numerous
Imprecision has nothing to do with Wii's success.
The Wii was successful because it was cheaper and had fun games that uniquely utilized the motion controller. Unfortunately, Nintendo showed the way to go and Nin caters for the casual market. A the way to go is motion control....then gesture and voice control for the game system...then.....
Sony shouldn't be doing a 60/40 split or anything like that at all.
They should have simply made the Move the standard controller...like the wii-mote is the standard controller for the wii.
In addition, the Move should have had an analog stick to give the developers and gamers the choice of motion control or stick controls.
The Move should have also been based on magnetic technology and not line of sight....not more gay looking orbs or co...
If it is the original 60G with BC,...maybe. But be aware it will need proper cooling to avoid YLOD. Also, it guzzles a lot of electricity compared to the slim and attracts dust and fingers prints, like crazy.
The thing is you can get a new machine, has more HDD memory, that consumes less energy, is slimmer, will have a warranty....all, for just a little more money.
Be safe and go new.
GG was likely talking about MP
Plus, GG are restricted by their game engine, by what they can do. We are probably unlikely to see fully usable vehicles(SP or MP), split screen and coop unless they do a major revamp of the engine.
I hope I'm wrong on vehicles though. Would love to see tanks, mechs, and jet pack in MP, rather than coop.
For all its accessibility, scale, simplicity....Warhawk is the best online experience.
If Warhawk was a FPS with Modern Warfare-like weapons, equipment, environments and vehicles.....then it would be the undisputed best online shooter.
MAG is a good shooter that deserves a sequel.....and more maps and vehicles. Oh well. Back to playing Warhawk.
