The Kinect idea will never die.
The technology or idea will now always have a place in gaming -- controlling certain applications(not all) or the console OS, purely by voice or motion/gestures.
But so too will a hand held motion controller with vibration feedback.
Gears and Halo was the only reason I bought a xbox 360. The rest it offered just didn't match everything the Ps3 has.
The switch is inevitable unless you are a diehard fanboy.
I'll be buying KZ3 and renting R3. Even with its shortcomings, KZ2 MP was better than R2.
But neither game will surpass the CoD popularity on the Ps3 because they failed to copy the obvious GOOD parts of MW as well as BFBC or Halo....then improve upon them.
This isn't rocket science, GG or Insomniac -just a common business practise. Cough, cough. Did someone say latest cell phone trends after the release of the iphone?
We will need to see what Epic does with Gears3 as it traditionally shows what can be achieved with the 360.
The title states the obvious.
This is why console gaming is better than PC gaming. Gaming PCs are clearly more powerful but game developers never get enough time to get the most possible from the hardware, as CPUs and GPUs are upgraded routinely.
With consoles, the H/w specs remain constant for a longer period of time so developers can discover new ways of getting the best from what they have.
No regular h/w upgrades for at least 5 years plu...
But many gamers are buzzing about Infamous 2 not P2 .... as the first game was easily better than P1.

Infamous is a fantastic new IP. Just needs an online component to make it complete ... like factions fighting each other to earn or steal powers....or coop against a few of those bosses...or a horde mode etc

Just make sure you give the Move ample time to get use to and master it, before passing judgment.
Remember that you've been using stick controls for years so it is second nature.
It's good that they keep them together.
Show those die hard DS3 gamers that motion controllers are the future.

So long as sensitivity is at its highest, Move players will pawn DS3 players.
Just takes getting use to and adapting .... much like getting use to the weighty controller delay in KZ2, but the opposite.
KZ has now become a quality shooter franchise but is far from the best.
When it starts producing things that all other FPS developers copy or make as a standard feature, then maybe then you could say it's the best.
KZ1 could have been a one of the great shooters of its generation had it copied the successful/good parts from great games Like Halo1.
So let's see if developers will start copying features from KZ3...because clearly GG are...
I find split screen annoying.
I just want all vehicles(including tanks and jet packs) and all weapons....on the same map. Then and only then will it be an epic KILLZONE.
In terms of overall popularity, Halo will always top KZ.
But then again, wasn't it commonly accepted than KZ2 > CoD4 > Halo 3?
GG should just produce a Halo map(with all the pretty colors and landscape) with similar weaponry just to spite the critics. I mean, if CoD can have zombie modes then WTH, just do it.
BTW, Resistance fall of Man could have destroyed Halo had Insomniac copied everything Halo had(campaign, mp, split screen, ...
Move is doing ok for an ADD-ON
Would have done wonders had in been the new standard controller but magnetically based(not gay looking line of sight) and retained the analog stick so you could use two Moves and CHOOSE to play the new motion control games or all of the existing stick controlled games.
All obvious stuff here Sony. Bring on the Ps4.
Unfortunately it's looking like GG is going with matchmaking.
As a veteran Warhawk and KZ2 player, servers lists provide more freedom of choice. Hated MM for Halo, Cod, Bad company....and now, KZ3.
KZ4 needs a fresh infusion of ideas from successful developers like Santa Monica Studios, Naughty Dog....or maybe even Epic or R*.....or......Bungie
Looks fake. Would be good news but needs to be horizontal split not vertical....vertical sucks big time.
But why has GG taken 6 years to start doing/copying/delivering things that other successful shooters have been doing from day one?
Better late than never. Now bring on more vehicles, huge variety of weapons, customizable kit, etc.
Good that they came to their senses and got rid of those spawn flares.
But I wish they would retain the server lists instead of match making as you have freedom of choice what game you join instead of the machine choosing for you.
fix the isa/helghast voice over(still corney and unrealistic), the rankings and bring in a much larger variety of weapons(copies of modern weapons) and Kz3 will be unstoppable.
A good argument to a point, however...
GG clearly significantly improved upon KZ1 with KZ2, plus from gameplay videos, we see they have further improved upon KZ2 with KZ3.
Insomniac did improve upon R1 with R2 but it wasn't anything near as much as what GG did....nor was accepted by many R1 fans. Unless Insomniac changes their way of doing things all together, you could easily expect them to bring minor improvements not major .... eg. major changes would...
