@VforVideogames IDK what Sony has to do with this or what but I think you're delusional. Microsoft can afford it, but Xbox can't... or did you think Xbox has free access to all those billions? Xbox is just a very small part of MS, it has limits to how much it can lose... trust me.
that is a great way to get the game into a lot of gamers hands, even if for a limited time. From everything I've heard the game was real good, but is lacking in sales. This may be a way to boost sales, I hope is does works as I have alway liked insomniac as a studio.

I agree with both of you above... you will pay more up front for a PC but you pay less in the long run. Do you think that is appealing to today's consumer? They only see the initial price tag. The initial sticker shock is enough the scare them away from ever trying to go the PC gaming route, it's that simple.

I think a lot of people ar assuming, in reality no one knows. If things say this way, $50 cheaper/no exclusives for PS4, then it may go that way... but you're being delusional if you think that. What if in early 2015 PS4 drops in price along with those exclusive releases and X1 is left with no exclusives coming out for a few months? Things don't stay constant, remember that... if they did then X1 would already be out of the race.
This is the problem with coming out on the Internet... nobody believes you. Everyone wants proof, proof that if this guy is telling the truth. Why does it matter? As long as they aren't lying about the numbers. PR will spin it into a positive no matter what, that's what PR does and they're very good at it. I could only see this mattering to you if you were an investor in said company and if they lied about the numbers. Other than that, it's their business.
okay, if Microsofts massive amount of servers can also have "connectivity issue" and have to fall back on peer-to-peer... then I won't ever be shocked if a game has connectivity issue at launch. Halo:MCC is arguably xboxs biggest release this year and it ran/is running into connectivity issues... this is crazy, maybe some of us gamers will give these guys a little more slack when things like this happen?

I know how you feel! I've got FarCry waiting in the wings but I'm thinking of foregoing it for GTA... only cause Ubi has been really shakey lately. I already know that GTA is going to be good. FC3 was really good and so far everything I've seen of FC4 looks just as good or better... but Ubisoft.

I'm not agreeing with @materfox but there is NO WAY that TLOU can be considered "milked." TLOU for the PS4 was "remastered" the re-release on PS3 was like a game of the year edition, something that happens all the time.
There have been 10 Halo game releases since 2001: Halo:CE 2001, Halo2 2004, Halo3, 2007, Halo Wars 2009, Halo3:ODST 2009, Halo Reach 2010, Halo:CEA 2011, Halo4 2012, Halo:SA 2013, Halo: MCC 2014. That doesn't include the Halo comics...
They're doing better, not as good as a few years ago but better now.
Nvidia more than anyone else seems to be trying to get people away from consoles... probably because they're chips aren't in any of the new consoles. If Nvidia chips where in the new consoles they would be signing a different tune.
I don't think Nvidia realizes that some people just don't want to game on a PC. There is a whole generation of gamers that grew up on consoles...

As someone said awhile ago, this gen is only gonna get worse in terms of Fanbois... I tend to agree, it's gonna be an ugly generation. Lot's of butts will be hurt.
I hope so! we need games like that to be successful so that other games like it can get made... like the tomorrow children, not the same but it's a creation/creativity type of game and I'm petty interested in that one... that art direction!
Yup, put over 80 hrs into this game already... I just can't stop playing it. I find it funny when people say things like "what story" or "the story is bad" like quote this again: "If you think Final Fantasy has a great story, you need to go read a book"
