No, nobody here is delusional. We just focus on the game devision of Sony. You're delusional if you think that Sony and MS are a cancer to the game industry. The game industry is dictated by the "market" the people who buy the products. The market spoke up and bought up Playstations & Xbox's. Sony and MS pushed an entire industry forward.
If you don't mind who should control the game industry?
I'm gonna have to agree with @ballsack, to an extent. I think we should have gotten these, and other updates, sooner/quicker... like on the X1 side. You may not like MS/Xbox but boy do they get those updates out quick!
Great, I love these previews... but will you please just release them! I know that Sony isn't a software company like MS, but how are they that much slower than MS at these updates.
That actually looks like an dev version, it's not as "finished" as the ones they showoff at events/shows.
Of course they love casuals, why wouldn't they? That just doesn't make sense. How do you think the Wii was able to reach those #? Or the 360, PS3, PS2, PS1... casuals.
hahaha...@trollsony, angry much haha
i think Sony could be taking this thing to a whole new level. If they had a mode where you could face off with someone in a dining contest to see who's best, but have it on the Playstation channel app and have the audience vote... I think that could be big. Could also potentially be very aggravating and embarrassing for the contestants, I can just imagine the comments!
I would like to see a mode like this implemented ...
So how do you explain the European GDC talk that a Ubi dev just gave about GPGPU? Where the output of the PS4 was double that of the X1 when the GPU was given GP task? Or are you just hoping that nobody ever uses it...
I can understand defending your "system," but when you just come out to say "I told you so," and don't actually understand what you're talking about. Or just taking one bit of info and using that as your "Proof" so that you...
If this is true, then I guess they really haven't used the GP part of these, X1 & PS4, GPGPU's.
It's interesting that one of the Dev's from Ubi just did a Euro GDC presentation where they showed how much more on screen characters they could display when they used the "GP" part of these GPGPU's on both the X1 & PS4. By that presentation, if they're even implementing it in Unity, the PS4 version should, should, have more characters on ...
@vegasdawg I'm not defending Larry up there, they're not identical.. not identical.
@marcofdeath is this a different account? are you also @Death
IDK if you expected people to take your comments seriously but... I don't think they are. For one thing The Order isn't even out yet, but you speak like you've play through the whole game. Secondly, you did the same thing for DiveClub, a game that's not even out yet. Geez, do you realize how crazy and biase your comment makes you sound? no one will ever take your opinion seriously.
I can understand everyone's feelings on this, but do you think Ubisoft had a choice? The marketing agreement is with MS for AC Unity... imagine that conversation with MS if the "superior" version was on the PS4. I'm not trying to defend this practice, cause it's not cool at all, but I don't think Ubisoft had much of a choice.
Another so called "journalist" quoting the $500 million figure... SMH, what happened to checking your facts?
I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but we're heard what you've said already. You're not the first, you're doing the same thing as the people who were hyping this game before it released, just the opposite.
IDK why this is still an issue. Before the Alpha/Beta almost no one knew how to explain this game to anyone, there was no clear definition. I was unsure of this game cause i didn't know what the hell it was. after the Alpha/Beta I got the ...
Nah... "sleeper" suggests that no one is paying attention to this game, which is untrue. SO is getting some good hype right now. "Hit" is when something has already sold tons of copies. I really don't know how the "general" public will take to SO, but by everything I've seen this game looks like a crazy fun time.
my nominee for sleeper... shadow of Morridor, Hit.... well, that's another story.
@n4rc Oh I totally agree that it could fail, it could fail hard... but if it succeds, I would like the company/persons who tried/went first, this time, to be the ones who succeed! Nothing ventured, Nothing gained! I would like to see them rewarded for taking the "risk"
@XanderZane All valid points, but I feel like this is where MS runs into problems, when they sit back and wait. They did it with Tablets/Zune/Sphones, they sat back and watch what happened first then jumped in but by that time it they were too late. I think they do best when they are first, or at least one of the first.
But, the thing that people are forgetting about MS is that they could just buy the tech from someone. They don't need to do the R&D themselves, they d...
hahaha... no need to be hostile to the guy. He's just stating his opinion. Here's why I think it reminds him of a PS game: It looks like a game that won't be embraced by the General public, therefore will probably lose money.
Tell me, who has a history of backing/approving smaller artsy projects that never come close to making its money back? Sony or MS?
But it is an MMO. It's just an FPS with MMO elements, just cause it's FPS doesn't mean it's not an MMO. It's an MMO for people not interested in MMO's.
How do you know though that the "Expansion" could have been included? That's what I don't get, people saying "they could have" how do you know though? The first "expansion" is out in December, 3 months from now.
Bungie planned this out to keep momen...
Seriously, what is wrong with people on the Internet? People saying the game is "crap", "unfinished" what? They told you this game is supposed to be a long term game, they already have expansions set to come out, it's an MMO... you won't get the full "picture" already.
Most reviews state what they think is wrong with the game, but despite that they still can't stop playing it and have are having loads of fun... so what are we looking ...
I believe it uses some kind of ray-tracing tech. I guess that explains the lighting.
