MS didn't just drop it, Sony stole it that near double PS4 install base over XBO is what made Activision switch over.(Yes, this was Activisions decision when all was said in done)

Don't get me wrong, Microsoft press conferences are rarely boring. In fact they probably have the best presentation and pacing out of the big 3.
A lot of power left PS4/XB1? Well duh. We haven't even hit that Year 2 yet.

Titanfall was just a COD clone with mechs and it got boring real quick.
COD is still the king of FPS, I don't see that changing anytime soon.
CoD will never become Titanfall. BO3 is looking to be the best COD game in recent years.
