None of those are real issues. The real problem is that people have these things called "Smartphones" and have no use for a Vita. There's also these things called "Tablets" which are like giant "Smartphones". Kinda weird but that's what people have.

Well duh. It's a yearly franchise. Horizon 2 last year. Forza 6 this year. Horizon 3 next year.
I think in a year or two publishers will be willing to put their AAA titles on PS Plus, especially those released within the first year of the PS4.

Not everyone would want to play some old PS2 games though, they didn't age very well. Besides even if they did play them in order, they would have the risk of getting bored of the series by the time they get there.
It's best to play GOW3 and if you are itching for more GOW then you can play the GOW1 and 2 rental on PS Now.
Whoever "wins" is always up to personal preference. For example, nothing Nintendo does will make them "win" in my eyes seeing as how I am completely uninterested in their children-focuses games and hardware design.
