No more XB1 exclusives is most definitely a blow to Xbox One in its ability to compete with PS4. I don't think anyone can deny that. Gamers who play on everything(like PC in addition to console) may not have a reason to keep/get an Xbox One anymore. I think that's where the negativity around this is coming from.
3rd parties would never give away a PC version of their games. I'm sure Microsoft would love for them to do it but it just doesn't make business sense. Third parties couldn't' give a crap if the Windows Store never takes off. In fact companies like EA and Ubisoft are probably hoping it does indeed never take off....
