If it wasn't for the 3DS version, this would be the lowest selling ever, which would make sense considering the flop that the Wii U is.

Sony will market this to existing users. It's a faster, more powerful PS4.
GameStop will offer trade-in deals.......etc.
Why wouldn't they market the hell out of this? The Xbox One S for example has gotten tons of marketing event though its barely an upgrade from the phat XB1.
No one bought a Vita so why would Sony keep releasing games for it? The Vita had a great launch line-up and first 2 years but gamers voted with their wallets. They didn't want a Vita.
Mobile gaming on phones/tablets is far more convenient. Even the 3DS has sold poorly compared to the DS.
It's time to admit that tablets/phones are the future of handheld gaming.
It's a handheld with an HDMI port.
