Would love to see a selection of '70s sports cars. TR7s, X19s, Opel GTs, 260Zs, first gen RX7s, and many others.
Mmmmmmm, car porn.
The Forza series all by itself makes the 360 worth while. I'm going to buy one of the new slims just so I can wire up a 3 console 3 screen simulator.
I spent the late '70s and early '80s hammering around Euope in a Triumph TR7 Victory edition. I would love to see that car and others from that period, like the Opal GT and Fiat X19 (there was a really sharp Renault too, but its name/model escapes me now) added to one of the really good racing games.
Bingo!
Did you miss the new point to point races in F3? Did you miss the new tracks?
I love the sound of nasty little children crying for their mommies.
Yessss. Already pre-ordered the LCE. This will be a good winter.....with little discontent.
I build a new desktop at least once a year and rotate the previous one down to server status; I buy a new laptop every year to 18 months.
I've had at least a half dozen phones since the 360 released.
I've had my 360s for 5 and a half years. They are ancient.
I want new technology. The current consoles are practically prehistoric by my standards.
Anyone care to take bets on the relative IQ's of the people posting on this?
Announce at CES, show at E3, on sale for the holidays. (my prediction, ymmv)
The Sony fanboy's obnoxious jealousy truly runs rampant on this site.
Ordered a collectors Edition last week. Im thinking of getting one of the new XBoxes before it's due out.
Ordered my collectors edition last week. Can't wait.
See above. And note I made no comment relating to manufacturing. My post relates only to sales, which I believe, is what this article and thread are about.
First let me say, I am hardly "xenophobic". I have spent nearly 20 years living and working in Europe and Asia. One of my brothers is married to a German girl and has resided in Germany for over 30 years. His sons and grandson are German and I vacation in Germany as often as possible. My other brother is married to a Latina, originally from Mexico. So yeah, I guess I really hate and fear those "damned ferners".
I currently work for a Chinese company...
The technologies have moved on, the prices for hardware have dropped (a laptop with a half gig hard drive and 4 gigs of memory can be had for what the 360 and PS3 originally cost) and the need for improved physics and graphical fidelity (not number of scan lines, that dog is dead, but precision placement of pixels at 60 and 120fps) is pushing the release of new consoles. They will be able to take us as far beyond the current generation as the current machines took us beyond their predecessors...
Frankly, why care about game or hardware sales in Japan? The population is aging, the number of "gamers" is continuously dropping, and the birth rate has fallen so low that demographers claim the Japanese people will be extinct by the end of the century. It makes far more sense to look at sales some place with a growing consumer base. China or India for example.
Give me new tech. Soon. Or at the very least, let me know when a new one will be available. I'm thinking of buying a third 360 for a simulator set up, and I would hate to do that only to have a new XBox be announced.
