Just adding this for anyone whose interested in the Mad Catz Wheel but hasn't seen it yet.

Please, don't feed the trolls.
The new Mat Catz wheel for Forza 4 is much more ruggedly built and is full force feedback. It's price point will be about $250 and it will be available when Forza releases. The Fanatec wheels probably won't be available before the end of the year and will cost far more. While this Thrustmaster offering is sweet looking, its only about half a step up (and only cosmetically, at that) from the old Mad Catz MC2, but it is, probably, a pretty good entry level offering.
And according to those who have actually tried the game, they have actually succeeded at it. How painful that must be for some people.
And yet, oddly enough, the professional drivers that have provided input for the game and/or tried it out at different venues, seem to disagree. How disturbing that must be.
See what I mean?
And incidentally, Forza 3 does include shifting animations.
Take your trolling lies elsewhere; they, like you, aren't welcome in a civilized discussion.
@below: I've never driven it automatic but the animations are definitely there for manual transmissions.
Interesting interview of an interesting person. But the fanboys will be here to start trashing any minute.
Love it. Note the burst of exhast flame on the BMW as it shifts gears. Wunderbar!
Sorry, but there is a lot of excellent high def video posted here several times a week and I, for one, tend to get annoyed with people saying "where's the video" "there is no video" you'll not know what it looks like until there is video". To many fan boys are ruining the experience for everyone, I guess.

Not like it's hard to find.
You should be watching the Hockenheim video.
I can't believe more people haven't commented. Of course, when you post early in the morning, the story gets buried before most of the people using the site have crawled out of bed. There needs to be some way to kick a post back to the top.
Beautiful.
Walking the track with GPS. There is a studio with a passion for fidelity.
Actually I do know quite a bit about it. I work for HP, which partners with Microsoft. I deal with MS engineers directly on a daily basis. In addition, my brother-in-law works for Microsoft, for a time, in the Entertainment division; he was on the development team for the 360 for a couple of years.
Microsoft licenses the development code for peripherals. This is something that is a common business practice for companies manufacturing items that can have after market add...
What? You don't know who he is?
Wheel support by Turn 10 is very good; for those manufacturers who have purchased licensing rights to make products for the 360. If a company (hear me, LogiTech?) is so stupid as to ignore fully half a potential market (high end consoles) by not purchasing licensing rights, I have to wonder just how dedicated they are to producing quality equipment in the first place. Fanatec can't keep their products in stock, Mad Catz did very well with a low end non-force feedback rig, and appears po...
Take care, there may be honey badgers on the track.
The Dacia Sandero. Hoo-Ahhh! Arf! Good news!
In My case the install base is three. Three Xboxes, three different rooms, 3 different HD televisions. What? Do you buy more than one and throw the extras away? That would indicate either a lier, or an idiot (of course it could be both).
Good article. Some new and worthwhile info.
