That is because, though the donations are a good thing, they are a tiny drop in the bucket of what has already been donated. In addition the earthquake/tsunami is "old news".
Private donations from the US exceeded $47 million in the first three days after the disaster. Clint Eastwood donated $1 million himself. The WalMart corporation donated 5$ million. Overall donations and aid so far runs into the many billions of dollars.
I recommend you climb out of mommies basement and look at something called the news. Then Google information about aid to Japan following the disaster. Finally, find a big blackboard and chalk and write "I am such an ignorant idiot! Will someone please sterilize me now?" 1000 times.
Good for them. A good cause, and a helpful gesture.
unless you have one of the network services that caps data downloads at 2 or 4 Gb per month.
You do realize, that you are not required to use rewind? In two years of playing F3 I've never used it. So what's the problem?
The infrastructure required for all digital is not in place, and the current costs of installing it (especially with the economic conditions currently at play) will make it prohibitive for some time to come.
One of the "stimulus" projects that the feds undertook was to expand "hi-speed" Internet to rural communities. When the cost reports came out a couple of weeks ago for what they spent, it was mind blowing. The amount that was spent getting the serv...
Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.
So, you expect MS to stop development of and sales of Halo and Forza and Gears and everything else that has made them successful so far? That's like expecting Kroeger to stop selling groceries because they put a filling station in the parking lot.
This is what happens when schools stop teaching economics.
I've seen it has vastly improved the bottom line for MS, making it far more likely that they well stay in the gaming business.
Companies have to grow their customer base in order to stay healthy. That doesn't mean they dump loyal customers. MS is simply interested in expanding their business beyond basement dwelling nerds.
It was well deserved.
Gorgeous.
I've pre-ordered the Limited Edition and can't wait for release. I'm planning to buy a third 360 with Kinect before the release. I figure I'll give the Kinect a try with the show room, and see if the head tracking is practical and usable. If its not, I'll build a three screen simulator with the three 360s.
Doubt it. Along the way he seems to have learned spelling and grammar.
The big thing at adult parties these days is Kinect enabled dancing games. If you think white guys can't dance, you should see a bunch of Chinese engineers with a few drinks in them.
Yeah, I posted this about 6:30 this morning, before they even started serving the warrants on the west coast. So Johnny Comelately gets in, and my post is still awaiting approval after 6 hours. This site has become truly pathetic.
UPDATE: Over a dozen have been arrested in New York, New Jersey, Florida and California.
Give me more power. But let me know when...and soon. I want to build a simulator rig for Forza and I want to know whether to buy a third 360 or wait for it's replacement.
He's right you know. It's a business decision, you give the people what they want. Where is the money being made? In the 20 screen theater that has "Harry Potter" on 5 screens and "Captain America" on 5 more, or in the little Art film house in the back street downtown, showing some "pushing the boundaries" flick about French lesbians.
Starting to catch up with them.
Check for yourself. http://n4g.com/news/795531/...
