It may not get high scores across the board, but this game is going to surpise a lot of people. I've been following it for awhile now and have got my copy paid for. Very unique game.
Got my copy paid off. The game does not look like much at first glance, but there is a lot more to it than meets the eye. It is not just some hack n' slash game.
There are lots of weapons that are upgradable with a unique word system (similar to a rune system), all sorts of different spells, side quests, epic boss fights, currency system, and even gameplay that shifts from typical third person perspective to 2-D side scrolling, to isometric dungeon crawler style at various poi...
Priceless. Bubbles for you, my friend.
Stop beating everyone over the head with, "but you can play Deniable Ops solo", ect. The fact is, the lion's share of Splinter Cell fans are fans because of the single player campaigns. I am sorry, 5 hours for what is supposed to be the main draw of the series is laughable and there is no spinning your way out of that fact.
All of the other modes are nice to have, but Splinter Cell has never been about the extra modes being better than the single player for most. This...
There is even a Bermuda Triangle like area in the game. Hell, come to think of it, I would not be surprised if they put something like Atlantis beneath the ocean somewhere, lol. The size and variety within this game is pretty incredible.
Looks like something I would really dig. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
Some serious bags o' fun right there, gents. I could stand a good week with my head buried in those.
I tried for nearly an hour and could not get into a game. I was excited for this one as well, but probably will end up looking into it used later on down the road. If the demo has issues like this, it makes me wonder about the quality of the overall product. I'll put my 60.00 on Bioshock 2 or something.
These guys are pretty funny. I may have to start checking out Gamer Vision more often.
The cat is now pretty much out of the bag on this so called "rumor." Only a matter of time before they officially announce it. Hopefully they will release it with ME 1 as well, so that PS3 only owners will be able to play the entire trilogy. This will be a great addition to an already impressive PS3 library.
Underneath the technical flaws, Divinity II is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
Yes, Blizzard takes forever, yet they are kings of the MMO market with WOW as well. Which is where they see most of their profits and is where most of their attention is foucused.
As far as Valve goes, I am not saying they suck. What I am saying is that they are not as god-like as many claim them to be. I do not care what you say, there is no excuse for not having a Half-Life 3 in 6 years time. Instead of making a sequel for one of the best games ever, they chose to focus on ot...
Team Fortress is great as well, but we are discussing Half-Life here.
Sorry, I do not see much "dedication" in not being able to get out a proper sequel for one of the best games ever in 6 years time. Any other developer would have released 2 more games in the series by now. Instead, all Valve has managed to squirt out is 2 'episodes' that is still running on the great, yet dated Source engine. It is what it is, man.
It takes this long just to make an episode? What has it been, 6 years now since Half-Life 2? Yet, you guys praise Valve like they are gods of gaming and all they have managed to squirt out in regards to the series they are known best for is a couple of expansions. Hey Valve, how about giving us a proper sequel in Half-Life 3?
Again, I love Half-Life as much as the next Joe, but it is what it is. Valve is simply not as great as some of you make them out to be. Else, we would hav...
Looks like somebody has been keeping an eye on a little game called Darksiders.
Killzone 2 a disappointment? Funny that, it was by far and away the best shooter I have played all year. Killer graphics, unique gameplay that actually has weight, superb A.I., production value to the moon, fun single player, fun multiplayer and a massive improvement over the first one. In conclusion, what the hell is Kotaku smoking? What more did Guerrilla have to do?
I have a good feeling about this one. Hopefully it will live up to the potential it is currently overflowing with.
...but it still fell far short of what it could have been. Ubi, if you see this, then just do not put any respawning enemies or any lame ass malaria gimmick and I'll probably look into picking it up.
A 5 for Dragon Age: Origins and an 8 for Football Manager 2010? You have got to be kidding me.
She is a hermaphrodite because she is possessed by a male spirit. Kind of why she acts insane and curses like a sailor sometimes. This is going to be kind of a spiritual successor to Cavia's Drakengard. In that it promises to be very dark and even bordering on completely mad at points. That is of course part of why it will be so special and unlike anything else that is out at the moment.
