That game stunk to high heaven and I could not even finish it. It was the worst kind of repetitive and the gameplay just flat-out sucked. Hell, I recently picked up Vampire Rain for $1.00 just for the laughs and I am even having more fun with it than I did Prototype.
As for Prototype being compared to inFamous? Ha, don't make me laugh. That is like comparing living in a dumpster to living at Hugh Hefner's house. In other words, the separation in quality is quite dist...
I am already reluctant to pay for it. I only buy a few months of Live every now and then or when I have a game I want to play online with and despite the attractive freebies of PS +, I cannot even bring myself to go there either. Thankfully, playing online is still free with PSN, so I really have no need to hand over money for a bunch of crap I don't really need. I would rather spend it on a game.
Might as well throw Elveon and War Devil into the mix. I was especially excited for Elveon, but apparently development was a mess. Great concept and art, though. I wish someone competent would pick it up and do it right. As for War Devil, it also looks like a great concept, but Digi Guys are full of it and I don't think this game will ever see the light of day.
I was ultra hyped for it as well. Too bad it got canned.
I'm firmly in the camp that thinks it sounds like they are improving it... especially for consoles. Visuals are being updated, our character actually will have a personality like Shepherd, yet you can still customize and create your own male or female character and the combat is being improved upon as well. No worries here.
While I can appreciate where David is coming from, I like to keep an open mind. I love over the top and ridiculous fun, but I also appreciate a fine epic or games that are steeped in gritty realism as well. Then there are those games that are trying to be a work of art, but may only amount to being a simple platformer gameplay-wise.
I could go on, but my point is that there is room for all, and no reason to really complain. Driving around as a clown and blowing the hell out o...
I was hyped to the moon for this game, but it ultimately dropped me flat on my face with it's boring world, cattle rustling and horse breaking mini-games, repetitive missions, easy difficulty, lame ending, and of course the glitches galore that most games would get slammed for.
Don't get me wrong, I still had some fun with it, but I simply feel that it is not even close to being the perfection that so many reviewers and gamers alike are making it out to be. 8.5 tops f...
"The main storyline will take players roughly 25 hours to complete, with an additional 15-20 hours of side-questing and exploring." Revealed the PR & community director."
"But don't forget there is an entirely separate online co-op campaign, as well as PvP and the highly anticipated 'Village Mode' to keep players busy in the world of Antaloor long after they conquer the single player campaign!"
There will be plenty...
The voice acting is nothing like the first game. There is gameplay footage on Youtube to confirm this. It is also using an entirely new engine and each version is being built from the ground up. There are no ports this time. It is a completely new game and Reality Pump deserves credit for actually listening and showing that they want to make a better game. I'll be buying it, I know that much.
I loved the demo, but ultimately decided to hold off on this one because I heard it was so short. Recently I have been buying up games that I put on the back-burner and this was one of them. Got it for $12.00 new on Amazon and should be getting it in a day or so. Looking forward to finally playing it and for a measly $12.00, I think it will be very much worth it.
Hopefully word of mouth will help this one to pick up steam, as it is quite difficult to find a game online. The single player is very much worth it, though. A sure fire under the radar gem that really surprised me.
What Baka said. You will obviously have a choice in what you do with your power. I am kind of expecting a, "Luke, I am your father moment" with an older, more powerful Morrigan. Of course it will be, "Hawke, I am your mother" instead, lol.
I am all for this, and I think I know why they are doing it. Notice the dragon (arch demon) in the cover art that seems to be the shadow that is cast by the main character? I am thinking that you play as Morrigan's child and will find this out in the game as it is revealed that you have the blood of the arch demon in you.
Character customization will still be there, you can be a male or female and of course the choices and consequences will be there as well. I am glad I ...
This was definitely my game of the show as well. I think it is really being overlooked and will surprise people with how good it is actually going to be.
they gave Halo 3 a 10. I enjoyed Halo 3, but a 10 it was not. Edge tries to be harsh merely for the sake of looking hardcore, yet when it comes to even the most average of 360 exclusives they fold like a house of cards and over rate the hell out of it. The proof is in the pudding, just have a look at their reviews.
I got in last night and it is OK. Glitchy death animations, some clipping, and this annoying pause right as you are getting killed are the only issues I have seen. Given that it is a Beta, I suspect much of this will be polished up. Other than that, it really feels like just another average shooter. I do still have interest, though.
This game REALLY impressed me at E3. Looks like a modern day dark Golden Axe. I will be there day one for this one.
I am currently enjoying the hell out of this game. It is nice when a game comes out of nowhere and surprises you like this. It may not have the high budget polish and visuals, but the game itself is simply great. It is like a mix of Half-Life-2, Dead Space and Bioshock, but still retains it's own identity. An under the radar gem if there ever was one. Go buy it and support Raven, as you can tell they gave a damn with this game.
Most other games get slammed for such glitches, yet this one is actually being praised for them, lol. I enjoyed the game, but it is no where near as good as what it is hyped to be. At least not for me.
I just happened to enjoy one and hated the other. Simple as that, really.
